PASGT my beloved <3 even tho its not really one this game desperately needs it. Would you make some goggle variants and add some camos, I think it would look aick with militarized minutemen and the insignia addon
This helmet looks like one of those pasgt helmets they were using in the 80s. Fortunately for me, that's great because i grew up seeing it in use as a kid and that's the "look" i like to see in my military themed equipment. I hate all the super modern helmets most "Tactical" fallout 4 mods add, they all look like they were made for airsoft and not for war.....the raiders aren't going to be shooting at me with BB's, they're going to be using bullets. Even the real life ones just look really, really stupid to me.
10/10, i absolutely want more of THIS kind of stuff in my game. If i had the money i'd literally just pay someone to make a pasgt set as a mod.
It is modeled off of the Striker Ulach Helmet, but as a military fashionista as well, I would like to add even more helmet model variations and I will add more helmet types (lore-friendly). I think the pasgt would be a good fit. <3
Someday i hope we eventually see full replacers. Put the minutemen in pasgt kit, turn the gunners into the russian army and relive the cold war. But then again if i was rich i'd pay modders to turn the prydwin into a kirov gunship and i'd relive command and conquer instead.
I know what you mean, I'm so sick of all the tactical overkill "Special forces" "Tacticool" garbage. I've always preferred military gear from the 1980's and 1990's.
That's one more reason to like the russian stuff, theirs basically never changes all that much. Sadly, even there the selection isn't great (and if you give it to ONE faction you want an 'opposing' one to rival it, ALAS! The closest we got were two vietnam war mods for the minutemen and one was removed from nexus)
Russian gear has been significantly modernized over the years, but the purpose of it remains the same, it's designed for frontline combat against standardized enemy forces who possess artillery and aircraft systems. So the design remains somewhat similar. They also have their own special forces gear that in my opinion is nearly as ugly as US special forces equipment. If the US ever has to fight an enemy army that possesses modern artillery systems and aircraft, then i could easily see PASGT and derivatives being sent back into circulation as standard issue helmets. At least i hope that would be the case, I remember some bad military politics going on in the US army about a year ago that resulted in soldiers being issued helmets that didn't even stop a 9x19mm round, let alone shrapnel. Some weird fast helmet lookalike model.
@dashingdonny -"Russian gear has been significantly modernized over the years". Ha! Not for 99% who've Soviet era stuff (if lucky). Meanwhile Britain trains 10k Ukrainians every few months, equipping them with modern kit-outs including winterized & body armour.
Must be nice believing that. My friend who volunteered to fight in ukraine had nothing but bad to say about the AFU and it's situation when he came back, And it's only gotten worse in the past few months. Most ukrainian conscripts are used as meat for a grinder and the quality of equipment varies heavily, most are outfitted with surplus 80's NATO equipment or old soviet stocks. If you're part of the Azov batallions you're a bit more fortunate with the stocks you get, But i'm not about to start a political debate in the comments. I'll leave you to the delusion that ukraines position is a good one and that all that military gear our countries send isn't being sold by corrupt officers on the black market, Or worse yet, has gone up in flames in some field near Avydeeyvka.

I see this as being a good alternative
