Brings back a lot of memories. A " Billy Jack" hat to be sure. I'll wait for this to have the bugs worked out. I love this hat and would wear it through a run through if: It was weavable, was easy to create, and worked with Major Hair Mods. Tracking as of now...
It was maybe the last decade of innocence. No tech, no internet, no cable tv, no cell phones, the first home computers just started appearing towards the end of the decade. Kids all played outside, they didn't grow up alone in their bedrooms in front of a monitor. You wanted to know something you needed to visit a library or the magazine section of your local grocery store.
I love this thread. I grew up in the 60s and 70s (graduated high school in 1979). Still have a thing for Siouxsie Sioux. BTW, I can not for the life of me remember the movie's name that inspired this mod. I saw it, but the title escapes me. Yeah, a lot of cinematic history made that still echoes in movies today.
Fallout was created by early GenX so mostly 60s and 70s (but my own seventies childhood had more hippy music). I share a birthday with Siouxsie Sioux and Henry Kissinger. Clint Eastwood´s birthday is 4 days later but we are all Gemini latent psychopaths from the seventies. My mom wore ponchos like Clint´s.. Anyway, thanks for the hat and regards to all other middle-aged Fallout gamers in their fifties..
I'll just add on to this. Graduated HS 1978 Sacramento California, during the height of hippydom, and yes those poncho's were prevalent, but more in the SF Haight-Ashbury area than generally. Wherever you saw herds of hippys. I also went on to live and work in Monterey (about 2hrs south of SF) and would quite regularly see ole Clint frequenting the local bars. He owned the Hogsbreath I believe in Carmel, and liked the 'McFly' bars, of which there were two. They were the place to go in the early 80's in the Monterey area.
Aye. I was the first (or second, there were rumors of another) student in my high school to own a calculator (I hated slide rules). My first programming was on Texas Instruments programmable calculators and then the TRS-80 (Trash 80s as we called them-- 1 Mb of RAM, load programs via a tape recorder, can only have 7 sprites--I sometimes think all programmers should first work with at TRS-80 as it taught you to write tight programs :-) ). While I did spend a lot of time in my bedroom (using my microscope, writing on my typewriter, playing with my train set, listening to music, drawing, and reading), and in the living room watching movies, I still did spend a lot of time outdoors, going down to the river by myself via bicycle or my little red moped, or with friends, collecting insects, launching water pump rockets, or just hanging out, or staying up looking at the night sky through my telescope. While many make fun of Disco, I loved it. Funk, disco, but also alternative, rock, classical, big band, etc.--just loved music. Sadly, there was the Vietnam War which my dad was involved in, and I had to start thinking about the draft--should I volunteer before the draft so that I could have more control over what branch of the service and some input at least on what to do in that service. Luckily, the draft ended one year before I turned 18. Dang, just sent this old man down memory lane...
It's a cool looking hat, but it doesn't show up in the utility section in the chem lab. I'm on the xbox series x.
* EDIT * I found it on accident. It's not crafted in the chem station as listed, but rather in the cooking station. Although it looks really nice I'll have to pass for now. Since i never use armor I only use weaveable outfits in my builds, and the hat appears to be non weavable.
I use Vortex, and the hat isn't showing up at the Chem bench, or when I try to console it in searching for 'hat'. Looking at plugins, the Mod Index says 07, but the load order says '?' ...
Not sure what an ESP explorer is, but searching using the in-game console command 'help bounty 4' brings up 0 results. Searching with 'help hat 4' brings up lots of hats from the game and installed mods, but none with a name that includes 'bounty' and none that the ID starts with 07, which should indicate that it's from this mod, since its Mod Index is 07.
Just to update, I got it working, I had to Enable Autosort in the Plugins sections of Vortex. Not sure why it was turned off, or why this mod was the only plugin out of the 156 I have active that was affected, though. But it's working now. :-)
Guess I'm a little off in the head. Every time I seen this I thought of Crocodile Dundee's hat. Boy was I wrong when I looked up his hat. No teeth... Which I'm not sure I cared for any ways. So I'll try it out. : )

But at least you made it an ESL.
Two different worlds, really. ^_^

Endorsed!

I used SAM, it's ESP explorer under Inventory to find it. Once I unequipped it, it does not show up in inventory list.
Also, don't use it with hair.
