X-Cell requires facegen generation for new characters, which means any mod without facegen for new characters will have invisible heads.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the possible solutions are as follow; - Set flag "Is Chargen Face preset" OR - Whitelist individual NPCs OR - set "facegen" to false in X-Cell INI file OR - Gen face. OR - Don't use X-Cell
It's compatible with any mod. Tested on Fallout 4 version 1.10.163 (old version)
Keep in mind these raiders are enemies of all factions, so they will fight NPCs in the area either vanilla or added by a mod.
07/08/24: This mod runs perfectly on the old version of the game. It probably runs fine on the new version. I have not updated my Fallout and am waiting for the notorious stuttering issue along with other problems to be fixed on the nextgen update.
So heads up, while this IS compatible with most stuff, it does place markers into the world (duh) and therefore it needs to go above PRP. I messed this up the first time and was lost for a while trying to find the cause of my broken precombines until I realized this was the mod
Thank you so much for pointing this out! I didn't know how the markers and vanilla precombines would affect modded precombines. I recommend putting this mod ABOVE PRP and BELOW Worldspace Edits.
I added an optional file that makes about half of the raiders respawn, and non-protected, and another option that makes them all respawn. The main file sets them to protected so that when they encounter NPC enemies they get knocked out and don't die -- however the player has the option to permanently eliminate them or not. This way you'll get to encounter each and every raider.
I also switched their Package from "Follow" to "Patrol" so they don't get lost if their Gang Leader dies.
The optional files require the Main file with all the assets; textures.bsa and materials.bsa Drag and drop the esp over-top or install it with the mod manager and replace the old esp.
Just ran into a weird bug today where I fought one of the JVNK Legion named "Zenvria Spartina", but she was completely invisible. I don't mean she was shimmery like a nightkin or someone under the effects of a stealth boy; I mean she was completely invisible. I could initially target her in VATS and seemed to kill her, but I noticed the combat music didn't stop. A few seconds later and she somehow comes back to life and starts shooting me again...maybe she was a legendary enemy and mutated her life back? I'm not sure, but I was able to put her down a second time, and was lucky enough to find the still invisible corpse to loot it.
I am running the mod with next gen Fallout 4, if that helps. I'm also using the optional "UniqueRaiderPatrols1_Respawn" file, and I'm have "Unique Raider Gangs and Patrols 2 - Nightmare Edition" in my mod list as well.
And just to state, all the other unique raider gangs I've encountered - and all other JVNK Legionnaires for that matter - have not bugged out like this. Right now it seems unique to Zenvria Spartina, and she seems to be from this mod since she had legion armor and a junk spear in her inventory.
I'm having a similar issue but all the modded armors are invisible, I can still see their heads and weapons but the helmets turn their heads into mannequin ones.
I don't know if it was added in as custom sounds by you, but if so - absolute kudos. Getting chased down while being screamed at in total gibberish is easily the most entertaining interaction i've ever had with hostile NPC's
I love your mod a great deal. Super job with creating it. But why protected? Makes no sense. These guys are killing half the commonwealth. Even Diamond City has lost most of its vendors. It's crazy. Sure the main player can kill them but no one else can. Including my settlers. Whats the logic here. I want them to all re-spawn to fight another day but settlers and Diamond City needs a fighting chance. The main character can't be everywhere to kill these guys. As much as I love this mod. Will have to disable it. Endorsed anyway. But need them kill-able by anyone and re-spawn to fight another day.
both of your raider mods pair well with "Raiders non-aggression pack" by ghostfc3s, I optionally went into xEdit and set the unarmored clans into sneak only to make those patrols more of a surprise
I couldn't get it to work with next gen, and even if i could, adding NPC's to next gen or altering their facegen data etc causes massive stuttering issues atm. I downgraded to the OG and it works.
