Interesting mod. Will definitely use it on my next COA play. It fits perfectly with my COA setup. I like to play COA with the Sanguinaire (Revised Edition R2 - The Ultimate Fallout 4 Vampire Experience) mod.
My lore is; the vault dweller exits the vault and is immediately attacked by a vampire, she manages to fend the vampire off but is badly hurt in doing so. A passing group of COA on a pilgrimage back to Far Harbor find her and take her to the Nucleus. There she transitions into the Oculus type vampire and then ... the fun begins.
I do this by using the console, but this will work SOOOooOOooo much better. THANKS!
Any chance for a NukaWorld version? Always did like the idea of a Vault Dweller immediately being knocked out when exiting the Vault to be thrown in the Gauntlet.
I use "Nuka-World save" to do an Overboss playthrough alongside "Nuka-World Fizztop Grille Workshop". Both files found here on Nexus. Just use the console to change your looks, name & skills (looksmenu/player.setlevel xx).
Have an idea from some of my own plans before this launched.
You find Nick broken down somewhere, and if you've got high int (or the robotics perk) you can repair him. He'll be up, and you'll get a quest to find his partner (a.k.a go find the body & note, skips if you already started or did a detective start.)
You can tell Nick what happened to his partner and offer to take their place in finding Kasumi, at which point Nick becomes a follower available.
Not sure what lines you'd splice to create this idea, but Nick has a lot of dialogue, so something able to get this story across should be possible.
I agree absolutely. The only issue would be dealing with the MQ that you'd have to skip in the Commonwealth. Honestly the ONLY reason I haven't downloaded this RIGHT NOW is because I'd be running around Far Harbor without Nick.
Playing it right now. Chose to be a trapper. But when old Longfellow tries to take me to Acadia, he stops where the firefight with the trappers would be at the superdupermart. Except there is no firefight since i am friendly with them so he stops and does not move past that point.
Not sure if it makes a difference but I killed the super crawler already and also have a quest to come back to him to tell him about it (though I never got the quest form it it started when i was at Dalton farms) , but I cant tell him about it since the conversation to get him to take me to acadia gets in the way. But this quest i cannot complete with him because he stops at the trapper firefight location superdupermart.
I'll look into it, I suppose it's just about a quest stage. The trapper playthrough is still very experimental. Try "SetStage DLC03MQ02 625" in the meantime.
Very nice! Tried both the Detective and the Trapper starts and they work fine. Sailboat Abode also works well with this if you want to live/travel in style around Far Harbor, since the boat is already there.
