LOAD THIS MOD LAST IN YOUR LOAD ORDER SO THE "PLAYER" RECORD IS NOT OVERWRITTEN BY OTHER MODS.

UPDATE August 1: Hipoly faces mod author added a compatibility patch in their mod page, make sure you install it in their optional files if you want to use this mod alongside it, it's named "HiPoly Faces REDUX - Custom Race patch".
This is probably a dumb question but idk much about how the races work, what mods would be incompatible with this i only need a couple examples like what hair cut mods, clothing mods, bodys mods, gamplay mods, etc
All clothing mods and body mods are compatible. Haircuts I wouldn't call them incompatible because its a just matter of just copying new records of the hairs to a new esp and change their Race record to AceHumanRace. But there are some hair mods like Anto Hair Pack that don't specify a race in their hair records so they're compatible with any race basically. This's why I didn't make a patch for it. For gameplay I can't really specify mods because any mod that changes the "Player" record is considered incompatible I think, again that's also very easy to patch in fo4edit. Just load all esps and compare the differences then copy from the gameplay mods to the player record in AceMaleRace.esp. For Example, Better locational damage changes the player's record, here's how it's merged: https://i.imgur.com/leBiLdY.jpg
Otherwise this mod shouldn't conflict with anything as it adds it's own new records.
No, none need patching. Though Hardcore Health Overhaul does change the player record but its record barely touches anything (it changes the base health from 40 to 50), so I'd say it doesn't need patching as long as you overwrite my mods esp after it. Everything else in that mod will apply to the Ace race without issue.
Question for hairstyles. I'm trying to make it so that the Misc. Hairstyles mod can work with this mod. How would I go about making it compatible? I'm comparing it to the Anto Hair Pack mod you gave as an example. In Anto's the RNAM - Valid Races slot is empty but if I delete the slot on Misc. Hairstyles it fills it in with NULL - Null Reference [00000000]. Is null acceptable or do I have to do something else. I know you said to change the race record to AceHumanRace but I don't exactly know how to do that. I'm only a tiny bit familiar with XEdit.
You need to add AceMaleRace.esp as a master to find the AceHumanRace in the race slot. If I remember correctly, in fo4edit right click on the hair esp and look for "add master" or something like that. Add AceMaleRace.esp as a master, then you can find the AceHumanRace in the race slot.
I just wanted to say that I've been really enjoying this mod in my current playthru, and that this mod is definitely a staple in my load order now. Playing as "handsome Nate" has been really fun!
As for a general comment, I can say that I'm currently on the "Next Gen" update and have 0 issues with this mod so far. Thanks Again for the awesome mod!
Thank you for the mod, your work is amazing. Now my F4 characters can finally look as good as my fully modded Skyrim ones haha.
I had a question. I wanted to make a replacer for Jake's head in SS2. I wanted to know what your workflow is for replacing npc faces. Do you make the adjustments in the CK itself, or do you make them in-game and then import them another way?
Thank you! As for NPCs, I make a preset ingame on my character and save, then using face ripper mod I transfer my player's face from that save to the choosen NPC. If you don't know how to use faceripper then I recommend searching on youtube, there are videos that explain the process in detail.
After fiddling with it for a 10 mins I managed to make a working replacer for Jake. I've put a SS in the user images :)
Just a heads up to anyone else wanting to patch their favourite male npcs, you'll have to change their race to AceHuman with FO4Edit before looking at it in-game, otherwise you CTD.
THIS MOD WAS MADE FOR FO4 VERSION 1.10.163. I didn't test it on v1.10.185 but Some tested it and said it works, though still, use with NextGen at your own discretion.
WARNING!!! Using this with v1.10.185 will cause Freezing, Stuttering in loading cells strangely very similar to the Unofficial Patch. This Mod was made for 1.10.163 NOT 1.10.185 so no it doesn't work on that version. Unless you mind stability issues and lower performance.
took awhile but i did figure out this mod causes some issues with some replacers i assume because of the custom tint mask? like i tried to use immersive wastelanders piper she had white lipstick with this enabled, other than that works fine, i don't need replacers
Is it alright if there was a compatibility patch for Unique Player and Followers and A-Body? Been having issues lately with these two mods not going well together with Ace-Male and I don't get it because Unique Player or A-Body don't have head meshes... I think? I mean I looked through em' and only Unique Player and Follower has head textures. But I deleted Unique Player head textures and still no luck.
Never used it... So I don't know how. Edit: Nevermind I fixed it. But now my character has a bald spot on his head when using Rebel hair. Maybe or possibly using any hair. Edit 2: Nevermind again. It fixes if you start a new game.
You install this mod like any other mod and start a new save, nothing else needed. The only thing to be wary of is if other mod use the "player" record. You can check if there are conflicts in FO4Edit or make sure this mod always loads last.
You have other mods that control the male meshes. Use Better Console mod and ingame select your character and look in the lower right corner, "LastBaseChange" should show AceMaleRace.

Only things I'm really missing with this wonderful mod.
