I'll list mods that people ask about here, along with their compatibility and resolution status. That said, the vast majority of conflicts this mod will encounter can be resolved by treating this mod like Simple Puddle Reflection Fix and putting it as close to the bottom of your load order as you can get it. So if you run into issues with marker placement, please try that first. Yes, that includes loading this mod after PRP.
Am I supposed to be able to fast travel to the new map marker "The Fens" because I can use the newly placed "Diamond City" marker, but not "The Fens" it freeze the game (not crashing, freezing), btw I took your mod and added it to one of mine (redone it with F04Edit, I suspect I did something wrong of course). Do you happen to have some advice?
That does sound like you may have made a mistake when merging it in. I've found several cases where the game will freeze like that in the past, such as if you try to use a load door that has no destination. I would double check the marker you copied into your mod to make sure the xMarkerHeading you travel to is properly copied in and linked to the map marker.
Thank you so much. I could never understand why they would put both city markers so close together making the one at the gates effectively redundant. I'd suggest a version that does away with the vanilla gate marker but, wild guess, that would probably screw up other things.
It's actually pretty easy to remove map markers, but I decided to leave it where it was because removing it isn't really necessary. All it really would accomplish is a minor change that adds more potential conflicts.
Just curious, I'm not sure if you're willing to consider adding it:
I use Diamond City Expansion, Fens Sheriffs Department, and Flyable Personal Vertibirds.
Without your mod, if I jumped in my vertibird and tried to fly to the outside of Diamond City, nothing would happen as it was pointing to the DC worldspace.
With this mod and the DCE patch installed I tried again, and my personal vertibird actually did take off and head for DC, so that's a big improvement for me. Unfortunately it landed by a nearby Red Rocket, on the opposite side from the Evans Way Cul-De-Sac.
What I'm hoping for is to have my vertibird land in the courtyard where the baseball player statue is (where you meet Piper).
There are some mods (like Verticall and others) that somehow integrate some sort of landing zone marker to give a target for vertibirds to land. Is that something you're willing to take a look at, a DCE/FPV patch?
I asked PJM about it on discord, and apparently this is just how Vertibirds are. Apparently the game engine thinks that courtyard with my "The Fens" map marker is an unsuitable landing site. PJM also suspects that the code that picks suitable landing sites may be flawed, specifically because of behavior like this. But there's apparently no way to fix this when you're using map markers to pick your destination.
As Glitch said - the package the game forces when you use the pipboy has "SearchForLandingSite" = Y, and there is no way to override this (as the game doesn't use a standard package we could mod - why Bethesda?). No idea what the game thinks is a 'good' landing site, but I think we all agree it isn't what we would choose... The only way to get accurate landing is not use the pipboy (in FPV you place a LandingMapMarker and use 'Fly to Location...'). Not optimal as you now get 2 map marker close together...

Compatible Mods:
- Diamond City Expansion: Use the patch in optional files.
If you have concerns about a mod not already listed here, feel free to ask and I can probably check it in short order.

Thanks for your consideration!!!

It's disappointing of course, but I really appreciate the time and effort you put into checking on it!
Thanks again!
