"Caps can be dropped" - then proceeds to tell you how you cant actually drop them and you need to "build" a cap stash back at your base. Good one. Dropping the caps is what i wanted to be able to do, and to place them in containers possibly. If i need to go to a settlement every time... its not really going to be much good
Hello AlturDrake.. This might be what I'm looking for , there is nothing to really spend your caps, I've actually start to not picking up caps and just loot any m ammo or material or the odd armor piece.. I have like 94k.56o cap atm level 93 and ,there is nothing to spend you caps on, so trying to buy crap of vender to turn into resources or scrap items, but when you mods like lootable crates, you tend to get an abundance of caps you dont need >< Looking for something like , havent seen anything else that does this ... Man this mod is excellent, it makes more sense too. As caps actually weighed in the original fallout game and were also droppable. Talk about making F4 feel more like Fallout should. This mod is perfect, thank you!
Thanks! It's sad how much Beth handicaps what we can do though, especially seeing how we could simply drop caps into any container in previous games. I recently tried to make an actual inventory item that would be made at the chemistry station and could be dropped anywhere, but I'd forgotten I had tried that before... the game automatically crashes to desktop if a recipe ever has caps in it. It's such a problem that you don't even craft bottlecap mines with caps, even though they produce them in the explosion.
I was kinda also looking for something like this : | having caps shown on misc with quantity and weight rather than just knowing in the back of my head that xxx caps are taking xxx weight from my overall capacity :/ sad~
I have a request. I have been using your mod and find it very good and a great addition to immersion.
However, now that I have larger amounts of caps stashed away, and I go to craft more 1000 caps stashes to then store in the workshop, it always crafts from the workshop stashed amount first.
This ends up making me craft dozens of stashes before I finally get to the caps which I am physically carrying and want to stash away (since it's weighting me down).
Can you make it possible so that when I go to craft new 1000 and 100 caps stashes it uses the resources that I am actually carrying before the resources from the workshop?
Unfortunately I never found a way to override Bethesda's genius system which always uses the materials you don't want it to. In my 'Settlement Contruction Kits' mods, you have to drop the kits out of your inventory if you make several because the game will reach into your inventory and break them down to make the new ones <_>
I'm going to be poking around with a few of my ideas to see if I can make them noticeably better, but I'm not sure how a system like that could work unfortunately. This is just one of those design decisions on Beth's part that leaves us all scratching our heads, just like half the reason for this mod: the inability to drop caps even though it was possible in previous games.
Alternately, can we just have piles of 10k and 100k caps? Extra awesome points if they look physically distinct, but just moving larger volumes at a time would make things much more convenient.
Couldn't get 100k stashes because there's a 9,999 item limit to fallout 4 crafting. So while it's labeled '10k stash' it'll only cost and return 9,999 caps.

Added the alternate weight file btw :)

So true. Classic. Anyway, awesome looking mod, I can't believe I didn't notice this yet. Installing now.
