Awesome! Thanks for the reply, just saw you said you were going to redo from 0 in a comment and I wasn't sure if this was that version. Looking forward to trying this out!
First time actually posting on a mod, but this mod has helped me a lot for perfomance, but yeah at least for now that bug of getting white screen in certain places is really annoying, but once that is fixed this is gonna be a must for me every playthrough thx!
Thanks :) probably this week end i will re do it from 0. There are hundreds of lights to check and i will try to edit those shadow hemispheres like a guy suggested to me in Nexus
Unfortunately after installing this mod I had serious problems in various places, like the diamond city radio caravan and the whole area around Fort Hagen, I was forced to uninstall and everything was back to normal
I will solve this, probably has to do with no rim effect i checked or specularity i i unchecked. Is easy to fix but takes a bit, cause i edited every simgle light. I heard that also ambient occlusion or wetness material may be the cause. I will remove shadow cast only in my next update.
Mate, I'm getting a bug where everything goes white in some places thanks to this mod, it happened in the Vault 114 and the subway leading to it and the Fen's Sheriff Department so far (only places I've been to in a new playthrough). I disabled this mod and it stopped happening, I don't know what could be causing this. (Smoll screenshot for reference: https://prnt.sc/ZeHRPnwQwMnj)
Damn, i got those flashes when during a sparring i get hit pretty hard...have you other lights mod? they are incompatibile. i just removed casted shadow, specularity and rim effect (the shine effect you or other surfaces get if hit by a certain angle from a light source).
Probably was the rim effect removal? There are a lot of placs wih this issue? It has been told told to me that may also be a wetness bug or an ambient occlusion matter...
For the hemispheric shadowcasting lights: You can replace them with an omni and give them a hemisphere gobo (likely the omni one): Textures\Effects\Gobos\HemisphereSoftOmni_d.DDS Textures\Effects\Gobos\HemisphereSoft_d.DDS
A potential compatibility issue with this mod is with Lightweight Lighting and any other overhaul that adjusts the same LIGH records. The blanket removal of the attributes would just need to be merged in some fashion with the overhaul adjustments.
The workaround is easy but boring. I opened all lights. Unchecked specularity, checked no rim effect, and those light that cast a shadow i set them to don't do it. For example, if a light was "shadow omnidirectional" then i set it like omnidirectional only... The fact is that in game there are hundreds of lights.
Well, my version not only don't cast shadows, my version removes specularity and Rim effect (shining effect on some surfaces), the version you posted surely is better looking, my version is very more performance friendly. To test it out, download both and go in Corvega assembly plant, the one that gives you more fps is the better performing.
Hey. Before some time i was also thinking to release some tips for performance. I was starting fo4 on overclocked 2core cpu with 30-40 fps. So it can be still useful maybe. I must admit: lights and shadows are most power hungry. Check all in "Fallout 4 Midnight ride". (Take specialy care for: f4se priority mod. Set you cores number properly!)

Just something to be aware of.
