The mod does not work with power armor. As far as I know, there is a mod on Nexus that allows this, so please use that instead.

So with this mod does it mean I can take something out of a trash can in DC and not get shot at?

As long as nobody sees you. Once it is in your inventory, it's no longer considered stolen.

No, this mod only makes sure that items are not considered stolen once they enter the player's inventory. Therefore, if Todd decided that the trash can's contents should have an owner, NPCs will still shoot at you.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to create an F4SE mod that works on the Next-Gen game version. I hope you can understand.

You know, it never occurred to me that the "Stolen" flag doesn't make sense in a post apocalyptic environment.
Even if it is known it be stolen, traders will still trade for it. That's just how the society works at this point.

I've always found the Bethesda insistence that people can tell that an item is stolen just 'by looking at it' less then immersive.
    1. It's in your inventory, how can they see it?
    2. This only makes sense for a 'unique' item that might be known to have been stolen by game characters.

You're absolutely right. It's pretty absurd to have common items always treated as stolen goods. As for 'unique' items, it makes sense that this mod wouldn't apply to them, but when I tested it, I found it a bit cumbersome. So, I decided to apply the mod consistently instead.
