I am so glad I don't use it. Oh, NMM does work, you merely have to download FOLON mods manually, then drag the compacted file into NMM like any other "uncategorized" Fallout 4 mod, as the FOLON category itself isn't defined yet by the utility.
For some reason it simply does not work for me. I've checked in FO4Edit to see if the markers are being overridden but they are not, i've even tried adding the infinite companion ammo markers to the folon esm, nothing. I don't know whats wrong. Does this maybe only work with vanilla guns? that's something i haven't tested yet.
Thanks for creating it and glad it works for those that need it but I'm a bit confused. Keira has been following me for ages and she never runs out of ammo. I was surprised it was needed - heh hum.
Companions will always have infinite ammo for their default weapon. this mod is to allow them to have “infinite” ammo with weapons you forced them to equip.
Archie had one very nice feature when I used him: The game didn't seem to respect his maximum carrying capacity. So could just stuff mountains of loot onto him, which was quite useful before getting my first settlement :P
This is really only for companions. NPCs and Companions using their base gun will have infinite ammo. Companions using guns you gave them won’t, unless you add the proper keyword.

But trying it out it does work after all. (for me)
I've given him numerous weapons and he hasn't taken a swing or a shot at anyone or anything; just cowers in fear.
I've only used Kiera and Mountbatten so far.
And whenever he screams, I know an enemy is approaching.
Once.
So now I'm wondering if he really does have infinite ammo, or if he just doesn't like to participate in combat.
