Permissions and credits
This mod significantly alters the perk system in Fallout London, adjusting SPECIAL requirements and modifying level restrictions. It creates a more flexible progression system while maintaining game stability.
Key Features
  • SPECIAL Scaling: Adjusts SPECIAL requirements based on perk ranks.
  • Modified Level Restrictions: Relaxes level-based restrictions on perk selection, with some exceptions.
How It WorksSPECIAL Requirement ScalingScaling Up Low-Rank PerksFor perks with multiple ranks that originally had low SPECIAL requirements, the mod increases the requirements for each subsequent rank.
Example: Iron Fist (5 ranks)
  • Original: Flat requirement of 1 STR for all ranks
  • Modified:
    • Rank 1: 1 STR
    • Rank 2: 2 STR
    • Rank 3: 3 STR
    • Rank 4: 4 STR
    • Rank 5: 5 STR

Scaling Down High-Rank PerksFor perks with multiple ranks that originally had high SPECIAL requirements, the mod decreases the requirements for earlier ranks.
Example: Ricochet (3 ranks)
  • Original: Flat requirement of 10 LCK for all ranks
  • Modified:
    • Rank 1: 8 LCK
    • Rank 2: 9 LCK
    • Rank 3: 10 LCK (unchanged)

Modified Level Restrictions
  • Most perks are no longer gatekept by character level, allowing for more diverse early-game builds.
  • Important Exception: Tiered perks (like Iron Fist) retain scaled level requirements from 1 to 5.
    • This is crucial for maintaining game stability and preventing crashes.
    • Example:
      • Rank 1: Level 1
      • Rank 2: Level 2
      • Rank 3: Level 3
      • Rank 4: Level 4
      • Rank 5: Level 5

This mod aims to create a more balanced and flexible progression system in Fallout London while ensuring game stability. It allows for earlier access to a wider range of perks, but maintains some level-based progression for tiered perks to prevent technical issues.
