Thanks to detra for a neat mod to make this crazy crapola quest less painful. The Crystal Maze was terrible too, and then to keep getting stuck in the Lost Tommies quest (before & during the timed escape) made me finally decide to uninstall FOLON. Anyway, for folks continuing, for an even swifter Lost Tommies solution, if you're ok with console commands you can use setstage as per my detailed instructions here.

This is super, thank you. The ID Card wouldn't even open the door into the Pindar Station for me before this.

I had already started this quest before this mod was available.  I'm guessing that's why I can't use this now.  It's an instant CTD before I can even see that Pindar station.

I'm tempted to futz with console commands and try resetting the quest, but the fact that this one comes to you in an unusual manner at a very specific moment makes me wary.

The changes I made shouldn't cause any crashes since I implemented them while the quest was running and played through both versions that way. But someone on my Unofficial Fixes mod mentioned my navmesh patch causes crashing in that area, for reasons I cannot fathom, since I also had it activated the entire time. So if you use it, mabye try deactiving it.

J'accuse!  I have been using the Unofficial Navmesh Fixes with your UF mod.  I'll play around with disabling it/re-enabling this mod sometime later on and report back.

Yuuuup, that was the conflict.  It's working perfectly.  I'm inside the Pindar as we speak, my pockets full of shiny, easily-obtained keycards.  Seems I loaded an earlier save back when I aborted this quest the first time around.  So, go me.  Anyway, that's the secret.  Disable your navmesh fix before activating this tommy quest fix.

I'm gonna finish this and then reactivate the navmesh.  Everyone around me looks like they're wearing bronzer (or worse, blackface).

Thanks for the assist, to say nothing of the actual patches.  Whomever created this initial quest should be shot, but only after they thank you for fixing what should be a deeply shameful chapter in their life.

I should mention that I have a problem finishing the mission.  Once I get back top side (that big metal door I have to open by turning the wheel), the game CTDs while loading.  Funny thing is that it worked fine the very first time.  I made it outside, and those damned Hooligans on the other side started shooting.  In the middle of the firefight, the game did a CTD.  Since then, I can't even make it back outside, no matter which of the two mods I enable/disable.

I suspect (based solely upon the odds and my terrible luck) that it has more to do with one of the other ~3 mods I installed today to fix unrelated issues, rather than with anything you've created.

Well, I've tried those other mods, and they didn't affect anything differently.  The game absolutely will not let me finish this Tommies mission and I think it's laughing at me.  Going to give the whole mission a miss for now and go back to the old save game from before.

Aaaaaaand, that did the trick.  Somehow.  Accidentally hit quickload, which was from the Tommies mission, and it worked this time.  Either loading my old save or the minor re-arrange I did with the mod files beforehand was the key.  I think a couple of my mod files were loading in the wrong order.  Anyway, it works now.  Can't imagine many other people will have the same difficulties, but if they do, hope this helps.  Worked great.

Well, as I said, I don't even know why it crashes there in the first place. I had my patch loaded the whole time and through multiple tests of the mod and didn't encounter any problems. Only when I loaded it up just now did I crash once ... because of character skeletons, according to the crashlog, which clearly don't have any connections to navmesh edits, aside from characters using navmeshes to navigate.

Maybe the crashes will stop if I re-navmesh absolutely everything, but I don't want to imagine how long that would take. Already spent quite some time fixing more errors today, also around that area. And even when the log didn't report any more errors, loading the mod again sometimes came up with more errors regardless.

Good mod, endorsed. To me at least, the default message about the id scanner and fuse box implied it was referring to a door I could actually obtain the id card for and attempt to open before messing with the fuse box, as well as said fuse box being somewhere I could kick it (or punch, I guess, since the game doesn't technically support kicking afaik).  I don't know why Team FOLON thought players would be able to figure that out.

I also had some confusion because the quest gave me an objective to "escape" before I had dealt with the breaker panel to fully re-enable the exit door, but I finally figured that part out.

The (only) thing I love about this quest is that you can actually tell the Mr Handy that his quest sucked when you're turning in. Idk to me it was hilarious lol

Ty for this. For me the cards were just never there at all and I had to noclip all around the place to complete the mission.

Can you try something like this with the Crystal Palace Maze quest?

Haven't done it yet, so I'll have to see when I get there.

Thanks! I never want to have to go through this ridiculous effort again. I chose the zero effort patch.
