Very helpful video! Unfortunately, when I run the patch, I don't get the selection menu, so it doesn't work at all. I'm not doing anything differently than you are in the video, so I don't know why mine is behaving differently.
thank you so, so much for this, i find the game borderline unplayable when categories don't have their own weights, i'm sure BI does more than that, i think it offers the filters in eg Food, but for the weights per cat alone, i am so thankful you repaired this. if i wasn't a broke ass i'd donate your way, really appreciate ya!
Can't get it to work. Followed two different videos to ensure I had done everything correctly (and I had), but inventory in game is just like it is without the mod installed. Perhaps it is time for someone to redo Betterinventory all over?

Sounds like it's a load order issue. Make sure BetterPatch loads after BetterInventory, and make sure both are loaded very last. Working fine for me on April in the year of Atom, 2025.

I'm sure most would love a new comprehensive ui mod. I doubt anyone who has the know-how cares enough to create one, and actively maintain it for a Live Service game that gets updated. Would be cool though.
more of this "last" crap, i'm sorry, but where did you hear that, and why are you echoing it without confirming? There is absolutely zero need for BI or any fix to be last in the list, if anything those slots to go textchat and hudeditor and even that probably isn't a deadlock rule. and all you're doing by keeping both BI and BIfix is overwriting one with the other, you only need one, the updated one if that's not obvious. this is my order atm, on the archive2list line, i also use IndexFileList but those aren't important to this topic, this.. 'nowait-expo.ba2, nowait-dop.ba2, BlackBoardSeasons.ba2, SEEAll.ba2, ImprovedHBS21.ba2, BetterPatch.ba2, ChatMod.ba2, HUDEditorStandaloneNoCC.ba2' works absolutely fine.
You need to fix the auto scroll feature... ive repatched it 8 times 4 with NO scroll feature and 4 with.. it doesnt prevent it from auto scrolling to the top
So i get this bug? its always happening, when i choose armor..weapons..etc i choose to drop them.. then get dropped then it auto scrolls to the top. which is confusing, thinking its scrapping my first armor and not what i chose and vice versa for weapons and others. not sure whats causing it, as i have ratmonkeys sorter and the other commenter down below states no issues.
anyone else have the autoscroll automatically goto the top after scrapping an item?
Surprisingly NOT caused by this mod. For me it was a stack of fusion cores that I had in my inventory. Once I dropped the stack and picked it back up, problem was fixed. You can test what is causing it if you don't have the same results by loading your character into a custom world and dropping things until it stops happening.

i reinstalled all the mods.. except this one.. works fine.
installed this one and its doing it the same thing.
dont take this the wrong way.. but youre no help. the maker of this needs to see whats wrong.
