My dearest Rigell, If you read this, I have just one special request. Could you please make a mod that creates illumination around the yellow and green swamp fungus and nuked flora? Like the mire church scene in the official trailer. That would be so amazing. =)
And if anybody has the original brighter metallic files, please upload them here! The metals are too dark now since they adjusted them.
Also, the pics do look a little dark when they're smaller. So be sure to view them in fullscreen at least. In game is a little lighter than you might expect.
P.S. Someone once asked me for the dark rock textures. I told them they didn't change the rocks, they lightened the whole game. To whoever that was, this will restore the dark rocks. =)
Hello hello. Thank you @ozzyzzo fot this great mod, makes the game much more immersive. Is there anyway to make night time even darker than the dark.ini. ? I know I have to tweak some of the sliders in the reshade but not too sure which ones. Thank you!
You probably want to adjust the "Gamma Gain" settings. It has 3 rows. The bottom row is darks, the middle row is mids, the top row is highlights, and each section of the row has R G B sliders. So just use the arrows to move all the sliders at once. Take the darks down a little and maybe the mids, but don't darken the highlights row.
These aren't part of the default Reshade download in latest version. Any suggestions on where to find them? I tried downloading randomly from the net but received "There were errors loading some effects" msg in the Reshade menu.
That's crazy because they were there like last week... Did you check all the boxes to download all the shader packs on install? The SCurve is in a folder called "FXShaders" and PPFX_Bloom is in a folder called "GShade-Shaders"
I reinstalled with all options checked and after double-checking my manual modding I now see the files. I had no clue all the optional checkboxes would be required when I first installed Reshade's new version. Thanks. Looking forward to checking out the Special now.
EDIT: Looks terrific, BTW. I appreciate your hard work. Easily the best night shade I've tried. Think I'm gonna run with it. :)
Thank you for this mod, it does everything my previous Reshade did but better. Make night and shadow much more realistic and I can finally use night eye.
Hi could you tell me which version of reshade to use I see there's a reshade 6.0.1 and reshade 6.0.1 with full add on support which it says is intended for single player games because of possible bans and when installing do I check all the boxes or the just install the shaders that are already preselected? I really like your reshade look in the screen shots with night time being dark and the colors really popping out. Thank you
You want the one that just says ReShade 6.0.1 then choose DX10,11,12, and then when you get to the shader selection what I would do is use the top right box to unselect and then select all of the shaders, then manually deselect the VR one on the list since you don't need it. But just install all the base shaders is the general idea.
Hi! Great reshade! looks great!! but is there anyway to make the menus or at the very least the map any brighter? I saw the file to make the map brighter and downloaded it, but it really didn't seem to do much? i put it in my data folder, is that incorrect? i couldnt find instructions to install it
Oh, to manually install: Yes, put the .ba2 into your data folder. Then, under documents/mygames/fallout76 you have to add the file name "mapfix.ba2" without the quotes to the Fallout76custom.ini file, and don't forget to put a comma and single space between .ba2 file names.
This mod is breathing a new life into the game, simply amazing! Fell in love with the experimental lightning from the start, finally lights are useful!
I'm using your latest v3 and it looks great but it was a little fuzzy in some cases so I turned on Lumasharpen and it's more to my taste that way.
Also for anyone using this who also uses SFE and plays with an xbox controller, if you go into the game settings in steam and disable ALL steam controller support (that it will allow you to disable) the game's native controller support will work even though using reshade and SFE will disable steam controller support.

Installed things last night and am loving the "Special" shader setup!
My eyes no longer bleed from how horribly and overly bright the world is.
I actually get to (and in fact need to) use things like lamps, light fixtures, and most importantly, my PipBoy light and my PA headlight!
Night actually looks like night again!
Still can't believe Bethesda crumbled to the complaints of the whiners that thought "night was too dark" and ruined things.
Here's a secret; Night time is dark! And Ozzyzzo has made sure things were corrected!
Thank you for making things right with the Wasteland!

Really does change the whole feel.
