    Why exactly do enemies have a wallhack? How is that realistic?
    I just got sniped in a swamp, after killing two enemies 20ish seconds ago, from across the lake, THROUGH the wall of a hut.
    At first I thought: "yeah, ok, I need to be silent, because it seems that enemies can hear me running during a gun fight", because I got shot plenty of times through the walls (I'm a CS player, so that's totally fine, as long as its plausible), but what has just happened is utterly retarded.
    But nice bait with the "Realism+" name. Which truly explains the ~14k downloads, but only ~400 likes.

      Nothing has been increased about the engagement range or FOV of enemies.

      Your issue is with FC2, not this mod.

    Is there any way to merge this mod with Far Cry 2 Patched? I adore this mod's gameplay changes, but I keep having problems with distracting terrain geometry bugs and LOD pop-in. Far Cry 2 Patched fixes these, but it lacks the quality of life improvements that I have come to appreciate.

    Any help at all would be appreciated!

      Yes. I'm pretty sure that would be a simple merge. Unpack both mods, then add the folders from patched to R+R and repack.

    so i can get into the main menu with the mod working but it wont load me into a game. i crash right as the intro cutscene should start.

      Did you ever figure this out? If you're using a current 1.03 version of the game from steam or GOG, then IDK what would cause this.

      My only recommendations would be to delete the existing .xml file in documents/mygames/farcry2 that contains graphics settings and start fresh on the next boot.

    Following the instructions in the .pdf file adds the improved .exe with 4GB patch to the files, right ? I don't need to use a standalone 4GB/LAA patcher ?

    Also, what do the "Exec" and "Processor Affinity" options do in the launcher ? Thanks.

    Where do you get the files shown in your video here to allow the game to be launched via Steam ?

    I'm trying to make it launch via Steam in big picture mode to get the PS4 Steam controller input functionality working. Thanks.

      Correct. Everything is included.

      Launching via steam does not require any extra files. Just follow the steps shown in the video. If there's a specific step you're struggling with, let me know.

      Exec is for executing specific command lists on boot that are in a text file. You don't need to use this. Affinity deals with processor cores. Many modern CPUs have so many cores that FC2 doesn't know how to run. You can limit the cores with this command.

    Hi, I'm using the most recent 1.2.5 file, and I'm enjoying everything except the no player icon on map and no colored signs for direction. Where can I switch those back in the unpacked files? 

    I previously was using version 2.0 that had player on map, but for some reason on my new PC FPS drops to 15

      Check Mod DB. There are multiple versions there. some of which have the player icon.

      Thanks BigTinz! I was able to restore the player icon and vibrant colors. But do you know which file in the unpacked I can alter so that main and side objectives show again on the signs on the road? I liked that feature so I didn't have to keep bringing up the map every few mins.

      This is inside the entitylibrarypatchoverride.fcb file, which needs to be converted to .xml

      You just need to restore the OA_streetsigns.xml file found from the unmodded game

      @BigTinz the multiple versions you mention are not up to date, so it really isnt a solution. I have no idea why the author of this mod wants to enforce however he prefers to play onto other people with not including the necessary files in the updated pack

      What do you mean by this?

      All versions of this mod on Mod DB are identical aside from the listed differences (colors, map icons). They are all up to date.

      I have a specific vision for this mod, and yet we offer multiple versions due to community requests. What's your issue?

    Hi,
    At the beginning of the game after I've picked up my default weapons off the table for the first time, when I have to get syrettes from the medkit on the wall by pressing E, nothing happens, the medkit won't open and I'm stuck inside the room unable to progress. I've tried rebinding the key to something else, but nothing works.
    Seen this before? Any workaround? Thank you!

      Rebinding wouldn't fix this, since it worked for the weapons. Something else is going on. Not a bug that I'm familiar with, though.

      Are you using a legit 1.03 version of the game, and have you launched FC2 via the Multi-Fixer launcher with the frame cap enabled and set to 60?

      Thanks much for you reply! Affirmative to all, AFAIK. Just DL'd the game from Steam yesterday, launched with the MF launcher, frame rate capped at 60. This is so confounding! Thanks for any ideas.
      Running my potato with i7-8700K, 16GB, GTX 1070i.
      The only thing I changed from default was the screen resolution, which I bumped up to 2550. Maybe that's the issue?

      ***EDIT****  Got this solved. I reinstalled the game (probably unnecessary) and started a new game with a different character. Using a different character puts you into a different room at the start, and this time the little hand print appeared in front of the medkit, allowing it to be used, and allowing the game to progress. Great to play this again after so long, great work and thanks again!

    Hey , great Mod guys thank you for ur work. Can anyone help me by any chance though?
    I´m playing on a cracked "Fortunes Edition (GOG)" and i'm having a hard time getting the mod to work.
    I restart a new game everytime but don't understand if it's working or not cuz I can´t holster guns, inspect or even look behind in a car , the map icons remain the same and guns in store remain in the same order . But then i also get no people in outposts so maybe it's working paartially?
    pls someone help, do I have to buy the steam version for it to work? The game I have is working perfectly and only crashed 1 time in 3 days, so maybe i just didn't install correctly the mod . Btw when i set DX to 9 the DirectX option disappears from display options , is that normal? PS: when I Run the Multi Fixer Launcher it gets an error sayin "Game engine file does not exist (Dunia.dll not found)

      You have a bugged version of the game. The DX option disappearing is a dead giveaway that something is wrong/outdated. This bugged and or outdated version is not compatible with the mod.

      There is no reason to play a cracked version of the FC2 in 2025, as this game has been DRM free since the final 1.3 patch released in 2009. I suggest you immediately uninstall, then delete any files from a cracked version of FC2. Not only could this have malware, but it's also based on an earlier version of FC2 that has terrible DRM included.

      You can "find" the legit GOG installer online and install directly, or buy when it regularly drops to $3 on steam or GOG. The mod is fully compatible with any 1.03 version of FC2.

      The MF Launcher should hook into your .dll file on every launch. Your main menu should show the Realism+ Redux logo.

      Try that, and let me know.

      I've since bought it on steam and the mod did work immediately with the steam version, so you were right it was the version I had that wasn't any good . Anyways , the mod worked perfectly without any issues at all up until I got to the second map. I stopped playing when i reached that part of the game and saved. Everything was fine .But today when i go back on the game and load my save , 4 minutes into the first mission in the new map the game crashed for the first time and when I tried to enter again it started doing what a lot of people report , the game wouldn't even open.
      I restored game files and reinstalled the mod and I think its working fine again. But i just don't get why only today it started acting this way , last two days didn't have any issues , and I haven't changed anything on the pc since then , but idk. 

      Btw I wanted to keep the 4 serynges on my " hardcore redux " is that changeable in the mod files? Not that gamebreaking but i do find it kinda hard to play with just 3. Thank you once again for your fast reply , great mod guys.

      If you still have the save that was crashing, I can try to take a look.

      I'm glad to hear it's working well now. I have no clue what would cause that to happen so early on in Act 2. Make sure to rescue the buddies at Sediko and the bottling plant on your own to help prevent bugs later.

      Yes, you can unpack the mod with the mod tools, then just change the syringes amount to 4. It's in the gamemode .xml file inside the settings folder after unpacking the mod.

    I can't get past the first quests. When game prompts to change map size there is no key to do this.

      Reload key. Default should be R.

      This isn't changed in the mod.

      Use Lossless Scaling and double or triple or quadruple your fps 240 if your monitor is fast enough.

      How do I use lossless scaling? Do I need to buy it from steam and it still works outside of steam?

      like many other old games it's not built to be played on higher than 60 fps and doing so produces lots of bugs, which are clear as early as the intro (my personal experience before I capped it myself before installing this mod)

      It's rough for eyes that are used to higher refresh rates. It would help if the game had motion blur (hurts to type that out).

      Anyway, you can disable it in the mod options.  "Max FPS"

      you do realise at higher fps the game engine is unstable
