Today an update to Ubisoft connect came out and I think it broke the mod. Yesterday I was playing coop mode and today Ubisoft Connect was updated and I wanted to continue playing coop mode and now every time I open "Offline Coop" the game closes automatically, yesterday it didn't happen 🥲
no, only uplay_r14.dll is put in main directory of ubisoft connect/uplay launcher, i wish it can put at the game folder but for now that the quick fix, its original name is uplay_r1.dll but i renamed into uplay_r14.dll just to avoid any compability issue with currently exisiting uplay_r1.dll in main directory of ubisoft connect/uplay launcher but anyway the uplay_r14.dll is not modded or modified, its still original, you can pick the old version of uplay_r1.dll from old version of ubisoft connect/uplay launcher and put in the main directory of ubisoft connect/uplay launcher and it will work
I have exactly the same problem, I tried everything I could, download, uninstall, re-download both the game and the mods but it still doesn't work for me, it seems that for some it worked at one time, not for me
Here in 2025 to let everyone know that it worked perfectly for me. Didn't need to downgrade or anything like that. Didn't have any other mods, then just followed the instructions in the description of this mod. Easy as pie.
Also thank you so much mod author! I've been finishing this game once every year for the past 10 years now and I never got to fully experience the co-op. Now I finally can even though Ubisoft shut down the servers.
Had to come back here after soloing all of the co-op missions. Holy hell they can be frustrating, but at the same time it gives you an actual challenge, which I feel like is rare in an FPS game (that isn't online).
It's a shame I never got to play the co-op before it got shut down, the levels were perfect for co-operative gameplay. You really really need another friend in that game with you to help you out or have a long range weapon, so good luck to anyone who is planning on doing this!
I have a question got the Steam version recently thanks to the FC5 Gold + New Dawn Deluxe Bundle being cheap thanks to the Steam Spring Sale I even got to downgrade it to version 1.05 as told in the PCGamingwiki
So I wanna know which of the download files should I use to make this work? Does the one suppporting the lastest version works with the 1.05 version of FC3? if not, which one should I use from the other 3 options?
TBH im confused but if you use a downgrade which is can get from this nexusmods site :
its not really a downgrade, the true downgrade is related with this .dll files which is FC3_d3d11.dll and FC3.dll
as for common.dat common.fat or patch.dat patch.fat is not really matter whatever your game version is even 1.0 or latest afaik
by using this mod which is have this 2 dll files mentioned before, you actually do a downgrade
keep in mind also as this mod using dll version 1,05v2, as actually there 2 version of 1.05 which is from 2012 and the other one which afaik is around 2014-2017, but dont confused by written version 1.05 in the game main menu
To make this work just download this mod and "The Depencencies" file in optional download section from this mod page
but also a reminder, this mod purpose is just to let player to start and play coop game alone back then and not to make a coop game is available and can able to play with a friend which is not possible for now
FC Mod Installer use hash of latest version of the game to detect if the game is legit version or cracked version AFAIK, problem is this mod using old version which is a latest version back in 2023 before ubi updated the game in 2024/2025 and the hex address pattern in the .dll file which used in this mod is different compared latest version of the game, so FC Mod Installer probably not able to find the hex address which this mod used even if its able to find it there another issue need to deal with, if you using this mod .dll first then FC Mod Installer probably say its not a legit version or not latest version.
can you just update the mod to use latest version of the game ? it probably can but unfortunately im not maintenace on it right now but also the only difference between this mod .dll compared latest version .dll is ubi only patch to remove not able connect to uplay server pop up message everytime you reach main menu or opening pause menu, so sometime i think its not worth to update to mod with latest version of .dll
you keep mentioning .dll what is that ? its the main core of the game, if you cannot find something in other file which you want to modify then its probably in .dll which im refering is this 2 file FC3_d3d11.dll and FC3.dll least for FC3 game
if you refering the FarCry3.exe and farcry3_d3d11.exe its technically is the main game process so whatever you start from ubisoft connect or steam, that will run but im confused what you mean by "program extra" is the external program or the game exe itself which i just mentioned above ?

MP is quite different, as you cannot enter MP menu even with this mod, but you can load MP maps in Coop Mode, thing is it need proper adjustment to load the MP Maps and the way How the player spawn in MP maps is not same as Coop Maps, but possible
its possible BUT not from in-game so its editing the patch files, while also adding just 1 new loadout itself kinda complicated process, you can private message me if you prefer that one
