ACTUAL INSTALLATION (because OP was too lazy to be clear or update information):
1- Download an application named ReShade from this website: https://reshade.me/#download (current version: 5.9.2 August 25th 2023) (It is a thirdparty software that allows you to, like the name suggests, reshade video games. Works with more than just Far Cry 5) 2- Run ReShade and find FarCry5.exe in the list of games that it shows. If Far Cry 5 is not there, you can try directly finding the program through the 'browse' option of the ReShade application. 3- It will prompt you to select the rendering API that Far Cry 5 uses. Far Cry 5 uses DirectX11 and above. Select it and hit Next. 4- Now browse for the preset that you downloaded from here (Enhanced Far Cry 5.ini). 4- Enjoy the game.
Looks fantastic - like you said, better than a lot of the other options on nexus and needs very little configuring, definitely fixes the washed out visuals but also personally makes darks very dark if that makes sense? It's a personal nit pick and probably my monitor
