I added a version that is compatible with 1.0.4 patch, that (among other things) officially adds job reset functionality. This means that from this version, all this mod does is adding some cheats and "true new game plus". I'm glad I could deliver you job reset functionality before the devs decided to finally do it officially. It's been fun. This is most likely the last update to this mod.
Is there a way to transition/move from normal to NG- or vice versa, im kinda stuck midway in NG- and just want to try doing it normal from there (aka get exp again, and level up), but i dont want to start from beginning
Yes. Get insurgent's toolkit, go to your game version tree (steam/ms store), save game editor, battle info, game mode flags. There you can turn it on or off.
Hi, I have a bug where the Way Stone to the Great Crystel doesn't spawn. After I defeat Tyrant. Does anyone know why? And whether it's because of the mod? Image on my Profile.
I don't think I ever had this one, but all kinds of issues are possible with new game plus. If it's a first playthrough, the mod shouldn't be the cause. I made a few playthroughs with it on PS2 back in 2008 and fixed a lot of issues, but certainly not all of them.
It is, and I've got some success stories. I've never tried it, so I don't know how it's done. Sorry. I think you had to change dlls to native to make the hijack possible. Probably injecting the dll from config would work as well. Not sure, though. I've never done it.
This does work on Linux, though I did not specifically try it with Steam Deck. I have FFXII installed in its own wine prefix with Lutris, and simply set the WINEPREFIX variable and executed install.bat with the wine runner that Lutris uses for that prefix. Was using the 1.0.4-compatible version of this with the Azalea Fix Beta, and I have this mashed together with the Struggle/Freedom mod - am getting an impassible hang at the point where Fran and Bal join at the start of the game in the sewers, and Bal demos the Gambit system - he gets through a couple lines of dialogue and then the cursor just infinitely slides from right to left and I have to Alt+F4.
If I tell Montblanc I want to keep my hunts, the Ring Wyrm quest loses its check mark, and if I tell him to reset them the Ring Wyrm gets listed as Hunt 2 after the tomato at the start of the game but the entry is blank. I cannot tell if this is what other players are experiencing because FF12's event flags are weird or if this is a situation I've created by mashing this together with Struggle/Freedom, but it does at least give me the ability to teleport around and mess with stuff outside of my main progression save. It's unfortunate it isn't giving perfect+reliable functionality for fully beating the game a second time.
Unfortunately, as you've noticed, it's not perfect. Whether you'll be able to finish ng+ depends a lot on the state of your game at the point of reset. I've never experienced the sewers issue with gambit tutorial, though. The only thing that happened was that you had to check dead bodies at the floor, which would give an empty dialog, but then everything would progress as it should. So it might actually be something related to SFF. The mod was never tested with any other mods and rebalance mods do change a lot of stuff.
Im playing the spanish version of the game, and Montblanc didn´t show me this options. I instaled the full version, not the lite, manual and from vortex, but anyone displays anything... Am i doing something wrong?
EDIT: Nah, im just stupid... Simply change the language to english and all worked XD
When you say that I'll be able to "keep my hunts" with the NG+ feature, do you mean that completed hunts stay completed? Or just that the number of trophies turned in to each brother remains the same?

It's a choice you have. The completed hunts can stay completed or the completion might be cleared, depending on choice. As for other things like one time only rare mobs... it depends. Some are being reset, but I haven't checked them all. The NG+ feature wasn't tested extensively. I did test it 10 or so years ago on PS2 and it was possible to complete the game, but not much more than that was really tested.
I dont know if anyone is reading this, but I have a problem with this mod, when I choose to reset the game to new game plus and reset hunts, most do apart from Hunt 07: For Whom the Wyrm Tolls. As a result, the hunt is available from the very start, and because of this, its not possible to do the hunt, talking to Balzac is impossible, and there is no text to talk to him, (from the clan primer) and he doesn't mention the hunt, even though when you use the button to see where to go, it points to him.
There seems to be no way to clear the hunt, so I'm stuck with a hunt I cant do. So far, the game seems to be working fine. Anyone else noticed this problem and or have a solution to it?
