For anyone who needs to reset the launcher's config completely back to default (including resetting the game directories you've pointed the launcher to), you'll need to delete the folder called "Square_Enix___SkacikPL" in your Local App Data directory. It isn't made obvious where the Launcher settings are stored.
I had a bunch of trouble because when I selected XIII from this launcher, I pointed it at FFXiiiLauncher.exe which of course ran that launcher and the didn't do anything. What worked for me was following the suggestion below 1. Rename this launcher to FFXiiiLauncher.exe and put it in the FF XIII folder (back up the original just in case) 2. When I started XIII and got an error that it couldn't be located, I pointed it at ffxiiiimg.exe in white_data / prog / win / bin
(I clicked through folder until I found an exe), and now it works. When I click on Play in Steam, this launcher comes up and fills my custom window 3360 x 1890 (Which nearly fills my screen but still lets me see things like my clock).
Unfortuntely I must agree with some of the other comments, it appears to no longer work, at least not properly.
I have both XIII and XIII-2 installed, I could not replace the original launchers from within this as it said it could not find installation folder, no big deal, I set the locations for the img.exe files to still use the buttons on the bottom of this launcher and technically it allowed me to launch in windowed mode, but a few issues -The window is not flush to my screen, I lose some of the image both off the right and off the bottom of my screen. This happens even when I set the resolution to a smaller one that would easily fit well within my screen, it is still positioned in a way that has some off screen and the window cannot be moved -alt+ enter does not allow me to swap between fulscreen and windowed mode to see if that would at least centre the window -It is technically windowed in the sense that I can see the final fantasy bar along the top with minimize and close buttons, but it is still treated as fullscreen exclusive as I sitll need to alt+tab to access anything on my other monitor
Incredible work. Thanks so much. I can now play this on my ultrawide at 2560x1440 on one side and have my videos and browser on the other now. Before it was limtied to 1920x1080 for windowed.
Hello, when I try to replace the original launcher using the custom launcher it says it can't find the installation folder. The custom launcher is in the same folder I installed. And I tried to replace/rename the original with the custom but when I click to open the game, it keeps re-opening the custom launcher. Can you help me?
Im using a ds4 and for some weird reason the game considers the square button as the confirm button and the x button as the back button. using your launcher atleast lets me swap them so i request you to add an option to let us remap our controllers.Great work btw as i can only play this game fullscreen when using your launcher!
