im not a huge fan of the new odin system in V.2. i reverted to V1 and ive had some crashes, i add that im running on the latest Eikonic overhaul. Do you think that Logos V1 may be causing this issue?
No matter what I do, I cannot get the new abilities menu to pull up. (Pressing the triggers only moves it to the other pages of the menu) The right shift on keyboard isn't working either... I don't know what to do...
I just tried the new update, and while both this and eikonic overhaul kinda broke the launcher which I solved by deleting the reloadedII json file in appdata and simply set everything up again, I just can't get the shift wave charge to work? It just immediately launch the shift wave like previous version, unless I did something wrong
I see, but so far it seems that most things works fine as long as the mod order is right, only this shift wave charge isn't working. And Odin's directional feat is disabled in this update yes*edit(found out it was the overhaul that disable it)? I noticed it's just grey with up or down. But having the new magic shots with Shiva and Ramuh is good enough for the loss since last version do feel too easy.
edit: I did try to go back to 1.1 but it keep giving errors, probably I did something wrong? how else do you delete mods from reloaded II than disabling it, then delete the folder? Restoring back to 2.0beta however runs fine without the error. Another note about compatibility with eikonic overhaul, it's a gamble of whether it works or not, sometimes it doesn't and I have to change the load order(logos still above) and it works with both. I kinda do prefer the overhaul update for rt+x being phoenix shift shortcut than dark parry especially since some eikon lacking range or speed(bahamut's heavenwards is kinda too fast and gets me too far from enemies, good for blitzing maps but not quite for rushing to enemies)

edit: ok the abilities menu works,simply press r1+l1 and change to other tab then go back, and to change back is same, but I wonder if every one of them that has WIP in description worth to spend points on or they're still not functional?
Holding Dark Lunge will activate the classic Zantetsuken after 2.5 seconds, which activates a different level based on the bar in the top left. Releasing Attack button after about 0.8 seconds will instead launch Zantetsuken IV's first attack for free. (atm there's a bug that makes it consume all zantetsuken bars anyhow, but I already fixed it on my end and will be fixed in the next beta)
ah I figured having eikonic overhaul on makes me unable to do zantetsuken at all, it works fine otherwise. Kinda a shame since I really love how using eikonic feats in that mode swaps out the ability palettes making me able to use most of each eikon skills instead of just two, and it had neat equipment rebalance making it worth trying every equipments for different bonuses. Really wish there's a way to config what both mods do so I can just choose which feature to turn on......
EDIT: moving the load order so logos loads later after eikonic overhaul keeps most of logos functions and still keep the ability palette change when using eikonic feats and the equipment overhaul. I guess I found out a way to make it work, for now. Edit again: Zantetsuken still doesn't work this way lol, I guess I'll just make do without it until there's better compatibility later
there's a new eikonic overhaul update that improve the compatibility and it works fine now though it do loses some of other features. And another note, on main menu pressing option button said that you can see the description on logos unleashed stuff on the ability menu but the only one I can see is only for the gouge description rt+o control, other abilities works but there's no description in the ability menu so I'll tend to forget. And for some reason the lunge ability has more unlocks, I did it once but it doesn't say anything new, and I don't have enough points for now to unlock it again, not sure if this is tied to logos or eikonic overhaul?
I see. I also noticed that I can't do hindsight slash anymore and not sure if there's any upgrade needed for it. In previous version there is but it keeps resetting everytime I start the game and the points spent aren't refunded. Now I just can't do it at all and there doesn't seem to be any other upgrade dodge that could relate to it.. For other eikon feats directional and rt+feat actions I assume just need the abilities mastered, right?
Thanks for reporting, I had mistakenly linked Hindsight Slash to Jump instead of Dodge (even though Jump doesn't have the required level 2 to unlock HS), will fix in beta 4

The only exclusions as of now are Lunge which unlocks Air Lunge earlier in the upgrade levels, and powers it up once mastered, and Logos Unleashed, which unlocks on a new level of Ascension.
as of now, are the ultima abilities fully functional or just placeholder? the new spells are working but I can't seem to use any of the logos actions, unless the latest update of eikonic overhaul still has compatibility issue with it which makes it unusable.
1.) does anyone feel like thier dodges have been inconsistent? i feel like theres a longer cooldown inbetween dodges.
2.) Is it possible to mod in magic bursts in clives basic Square combo? i play with a dualsense edge and for some reason, my inputs arent as snappy. id go to magic burst but the input wouldnt register and i would just continue with the square combo.
honestly, i miss the spam dodges. I love dodging point blank like vegito when buu came at him
If playing with a dualsense edge, you have to use XInput support. DualSense support is actually not compatible with DualSense Edge. I published an article in the Articles page with instructions on how to use XInput support while retaining DualSense exclusive features such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, go take a look if you want
I'm not aware of any issues with dodges, could you provide some more info? Maybe try fixing your input first since that seems to be the problem
Quick feedback, some skills obtained through the new menu are being lost when loading the game again or respec through the old menu, and you cannot obtain the skill points back when this happens.

Respec resetting all skills is intended, but it should give you the points back. I'll look into it.
Game reloading losing skills is also weird, though I can see you downloaded various versions of b2. Between the hotfixes, I changed the skill Ids, which means any skill you had acquired on a previous version of b2 would be lost. Maybe that's what happened?
There was indeed an issue with save files not storing the new skills' levels This is not something that can be fixed easily, as such I have reverted to the old system where you gain access to commands through existing skills in the skill tree Try 2.0.0-b3, these issues should be fixed

I'm not sure if im missing something here, but I've updated from 1.1.1 to the b3 2.0 hotfix but I can't seem to get the new abilities menu to prompt either through keyboard (right shift) or my ds4 controller (L1 + R1) I even tried using logos unleashed alone and it didn't seem to fix the issue.
Thank you so much for clarifying, I've also noticed for Odin that it forces me to output level 1 Zantetsuken instead of any of the higher levels despite having the max (5) level for it. Is this usually normal aswell or I'm not aware of a specific input for it?
Hey, congrats on the 2.0 update, you've been cooking it up for a while and it shows. Guess you're more quality over quantity when it comes to these things :) I particularly appreciate the addition of the "Enable directional inputs" keybind. It makes comboing much more deliberate and it solved the problem I had with accidental inputs.
I read that you mentioned how the triggers are axes rather than buttons, so it's not a straightforward keybinding. If you're able, I'd love to try swapping the triggers to the other input types in the future, not just the special attack input.
Not sure if this is user error on my end, or an issue you are already aware of, but after swapping between the 2.0 update and your latest hotfix, it seems there's an issue with the combo inputs. I decided to briefly test and made sure the control bindings were all the same as well as having disabled keyboard input and enabled "directional inputs keybind" across the updates. The only other mods I use are the FF16Fix (reloaded version) and Reskin Clive's Appearance.
In the latest hotfix, I was unable to perform directional input comboes, such as Phoenix Shift + Forward magic attack (for the ignition finisher). I was also unable to perform the special attack inputs, such as the gouge finisher and steel finisher. Again, I'm confident the settings I used across the updates were identical, but there's always a chance I missed something. I swapped back to the original 2.0 version and everything played as normal, so it's not really an issue for me personally, but I saw some other people needed that hotfix for some crashing.

Instead of mastering related skills, you now press the new Skill Change keybind (atm only configurable on keyboard, where it's Right Shift by default, while on controller it's R1 + L1) and open the Abilities menu to see the modded skills. That's probably why it didn't let you use Deadly Gouge and Steel Finish: you now have to acquire them in the new skill tree. Keep in mind you'll still have to learn rank 1 for their vanilla counterparts, otherwise they will be locked. Regarding the up + Shift Shot input, if you enabled the directional hold keybind, you have to hold it when performing that as well.
Also, I can see from your download history that you missed the latest hotfix (2.0.0-b2-hotfix2). I'd say get it right away, or you might experience some crashes in various instances.

The Logos Unleashed button says to look into Melee Attack specifically.
Lunge upgrades unlock Air Lunge (Up + Downthrust). The final upgrade allows Air Lunges to be jump canceled.

I read that you mentioned how the triggers are axes rather than buttons, so it's not a straightforward keybinding. If you're able, I'd love to try swapping the triggers to the other input types in the future, not just the special attack input.
