Palworld continues to break records on Steam, racking up 1,864,421 unique concurrent players in the past 24 hours. At least 4 of those uniques are in the Nexus Mods offices, where after-hours ‘research’ is being conducted.
Whether you think this game has arrived out of the blue, or was an obvious hit, one thing is clear; It bears a lot of similarity to an existing game franchise you may have encountered, namely Pokémon. We won’t go into detail about potential similarities; suf...- 140 Comments

Starfield is almost here! We can't wait to join Constellation and explore the stars on 1 September and we're even more excited about the potential for mods the game has. Sim Settlements in Space? Yes, please. A whole new perk overhaul? Don't mind if we do. A mod that turns all planets into sandwiches? Sure! Today we're going to talk about the Starfield Community Patch Project which serves to collect and fix any bugs in the base game.

Fallout 4: Game of the Year released on GOG
A DRM-free version of Fallout 4: Game of the Year edition is now available from GOG.com, making it the latest title in the Fallout franchise to get the Good Old Games treatment. Just like with the release of Skyrim back in September 2022, we've managed to get our mitts on the game a few days early to help our friends at GOG to make this version as modding-friendly as possible.
You might be wondering what's different about this release compared to the versions ava...- 84 Comments

Baldur’s Gate 3 Modding Update
Baldur’s Gate 3 from Larian Studios has exploded out of early access into full launch like an enraged dwarf through a bar door, and we are loving this game! With over 1 million mod downloads since launch (4 days ago), it’s clear the game is already a community favourite on Nexus Mods. Our Vortex game extension has been updated since going from Early Access to Full Launch, allowing for general mod management through Vortex (this will auto-update and require a restart of Vortex).

Starfield, the first game in a brand new series from Bethesda Game Studios, is coming to PC and Xbox in November and while that may seem to be a long way off yet, we're already excitedly preparing for the release.

Skyrim Anniversary Edition - Everything we know
As you may have heard, Skyrim Anniversary Edition is coming out in a few weeks to commemorate the initial release of Skyrim in 2011 - a whopping 10 years ago! Along with this release, Skyrim Special Edition will also be receiving an update including new, free content. Great news, but this update also comes with some consequences for the modding scene regarding mods dependent on the popular utility Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE). There is no reason to panic though! In this post, we've put togethe...

Skyrim Special Edition Nexus Mod Manager support
The continued dedication that our community displays towards Skyrim as a modding platform never ceases to amaze us. Looking back, other titles have come and gone but the Skyrim modding community remains as strong as ever. In fact, the Skyrim Nexus hit the 1 billion downloads mark at the end of last month. One Billion! Modders everywhere have made the harsh icy lands of Skyrim their home and with the release of the Special Edition, it would seem this tradition is likely to continue.

Preparing for Skyrim Special Edition
Over the last few weeks, we've been discussing how to best approach the upcoming release of Skyrim Special Edition (SSE), specifically in regards to how Nexus will host SSE files. Due to changes in some file formats, not everything will be compatible right away. For example, anything packaged with a .bsa extension will need to either be extracted to “loose” files or extracted and repackaged using the new SSE Creation Kit. Another example would be mods that rely on SKSE. Until SKSE has be...

The sky isn't the limit. No Man's Sky Nexus site opened.
No Man’s Sky is arguably the biggest release of the year. There’s no denying that the sheer scale of this procedurally generated universe is simply mind-boggling. But, does it live up to the hype? That’s up to you to decide.
So where does that leave us mod enthusiasts in the meantime? Well, there’s good news! With the addition of the first set of community-made modding tools, we have opened the No Man’s Sky Nexus site: http://nexusmods.com/nomanssky

Interview with Nicolas Lietzau - Project Lead for "Enderal"
One of the most exciting developments in the world of modding is soon to be unleashed upon the community in the form of “Enderal”, a total conversion mod for Skyrim. Expected to contain between 30 and 100 hours of gameplay depending on the whether the user runs through or checks out all the side quests, the mod itself has been in development for over 29900 hours (beginning prior to Skyrims release) and has produced an incredible total conversion.
We have been lucky enough to tal...- 32 Comments
