1- You don't really need to grind much, except maybe a bit at start. The game was already super easy to begin with. Once you get to disc2/ midway in the game, you should not have a problem or need to grind for anything. 2- One of, if not the main purpose of the mod, was to extend playtime, for players that love the game and the enemies, finding and encountering all enemies, which was prob my favorite part, learn all enemy skills, steal all items possible in battle, near 100% the game, etc. In fact I played for over 120 hrs with this mod. I used the savegame editor to change the game timer back to 40:00 when it hit 99:99. 3- playing a game just to finish it, is not the real point of this game, or most games, enjoying your play is the point. That is the point of a hard mod to make you play longer to finish the game. on that note...
I'd like to add that the Sepiroth boss fight really can give you a seizure in real life on modern bright LCD screens, the attack comes from bizarro sepiroth - core, and I think (not sure) the name is "stigma", but I'm not going to replay it to find out. It is seriously dangerous I'm not joking. Kind of wrecks the game, and I'd like someone to make a mod to remove this attack from the game, as I'm not going to risk making one and testing it. Why would I anyway it is game over after that and I've already beaten the game many times easily. IMO sqeenix should alter or remove this attack from the game. Even on CRT in the dark its very bad but on LCD in the dark, it is seriously ultra dangerous.
I guess if you never played this game before you might not know how incredibly easy it is... In fact IMO it is still too easy, even with this mod, that's why it's perfect for first timers... unless maybe you are like seven years old or terrible at games, then just play the stock version.
If all you are doing is flat increases to every enemy of the same value then you should use the tool Bahamut . It can edit every scene at once. Then you can use Proud Clod to make more detailed individual changes.
That's cool, I might try that... yes people have made these on Quimm website a lot of times but the changes are all over the place, my goal was to make it more consistent. enemies have only been changed in the following ways:
+50% hp +25% strength and +25% magic. 1/2 xp awarded (except for boss which is 3/4) 1/2 gil awarded
after I finish modifying all the enemy sets then I may look into reducing xp even more for a few enemies I have just ran into granting way too much xp... but first finish...
OK I understand. Personally, I have already edited (several times) all the enemies of the 250 scenes in the battle file, so I know it's tedious and redundant work. That's why I wanted to avoid this corver, but it's true that 1/2 XP and GILS are interesting and stand out from other HM mods, so good courage to you!

Perhaps after can make a mod faster, since I was wishing I had changed it to x 1.5 str/attak and magic
I guess some enemies just weren't meant to be hard.
