I haven't been able to test its behavior throughout the entire game yet. Some chapters use specific cameras, and I have only modified those for cities, open outdoor areas, and the Chocobo. If the view switches back to third-person, it means another camera has taken over with its default settings.
The camera is not perfectly centered inside Cloud’s head, as I haven't been able to disable the collision between the model and the camera. I tried adjusting the offset, but the camera slides along the model. It's not perfect, but it works well enough for exploring in first-person.
While riding a Chocobo, treasure notifications will no longer appear. You'll need to pay closer attention to your surroundings. However, if this bothers you, I’ve created a version that keeps the Chocobo view in third-person.
So i made 4 versions :
FOV 75 (with or without first-person Chocobo view)
FOV 90 (with or without first-person Chocobo view)
If you have installed the console, you can manually adjust the FOV using the command FOV XX. However, this command will override all cameras, including those used in combat.
The game's default FOV is 60.
I added an optional version that brings the third-person camera but closer to the chocobo. This keeps the treasure notification on screen and makes digging a bit more precise.
By default, the distance was set to 850, i adjusted it to 50. The height was originally 70 and has been increased to 200 so that the camera is positioned just above Cloud's head.
It’s not perfect when sprinting, hope you enjoy the feathers!
(Added ChocoboOnly views and their respectives FOV, all others cameras will be set by default)
