General note: Beside subjective of personal taste/preference, I knew that so many type and models of Monitors/TVs out there. LCD/LED/OLED/QLED ; IPS/TN/VA...etc. And they have their own characteristic (from neutral colors to vibrant colors, high to low gamma/black levels/white point, etc). Therefore I made a simple adjustment UI for this custom shader. You can adjust Dark Level, Light Intensity, Color Saturation, etc.by press END keyboard button to show-up Reshade UI. Adjust the value to matching with your current screen (Monitor/TV) profile or fit with your taste/liking.
Happy gaming and cheers, -Chris-
ps. keep in mind, this is NOT just a preset. It's a custom shader. You can make a new preset by press + (plus) button on the top right corner of Reshade UI as shown above.
I have an LG C3 and it drives me nuts that the colors pops out more, especially making the sky more crystal blue, when I watch a streamer play on youtube on the same screen but when I play with HDR on, the colors are more dull somehow. Will it make the blue sky even more blue?
Im having this issue where the effect randomly that's us a lot more framerate, on the statistics tab its normally at 0.600 ms gpu usage, but pretty often it goes up to 6.0 ms latency, reducing my fps from locked 60 to 45 until i turn it off, after i wait sometime and turn it back on, it goes back to normal, until it happens again, seems to happen more often in combat, although i am using optiscaler with dlss.
My tweaks on a lg 65 c1 on hdr, using the non dof light 1.01 version: ive put down Light intensity on 0.30 and changed ingame setting brightness to 4. to counteract most loss of detail in highlights and shadows (was a lot of loss). Looks great now. ty. less washed out and more pop. May tweak a bit more.
Could u plz add some sharpening? or can i? i usually add lumasharpen or adaptive sharpening on a reshade. dunno how to do this coz its a shader. Or ill have to look into ini tweaks for this i guess. Or another way. If i can add some sharpening think ill be rly happy with how it looks. Few other reshades ive tried are either just bad or too performance heavy imo. With some sharpening think i will really like and use this one.
Hi there, thanks for your feedback. the reason I don’t added too much sharpening, because it will make a bad result for some users who are using upscaling method less than 66% of their native screen res. And it getting worst when using it with framegen mod.
but you can try to add another sharpening shader file into this mod, just grab (e.g adaptivesharp.fx) sharpening shader file from standard Reshade, then put it under my /simple-realistic/Shaders/ folder. Then re run your game.
BUT I’m not sure it will work without problem as now there are too many changed between every each Reshade framework version. Some shaders with different base version will work when mixed it together, some not. You may try it.
That caused by my experimental DOF light, somehow it also affected to text and HUD. I will upload an update to fix that (but I have to remove that depth lighting, meaning it will also reduce realism).
UPDATE: Ok, I have uploaded an alternative version (without DOF light). You can download it under "Optional files" just drag and drop into the same folder as mention in description page, and overwrite my older files.
I’m sorry I think I won’t made it for you. as every model and brand are using different luminance, it so difficult to covering them all. It will need a huge time to do trial and error test to make sure it will work fine with every HDR screen.
All you can do now, just trying to adjust the luminance intensity via game settings.
Seems like the grass artifact is more pronounced with the Reshade on (haven't tried but heavily interested to download this preset compared to others)
I like the simplified UI and generally how this reshade looks, but I personally would prefer to not have the vignette on screen, not a fan of having the dark borders on the screen.
I also am having issues with being unable to save any changes made. Rebirth is not installed on my C: drive.
After personalising, how do you get rid of the "Unable to save configuration ...". I have full admin rights but message appears and doesn't disappear if you edit global pre-processor definitions.
with you case (maybe caused by the game installed inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\), you can try to make a new one by click "+" button on the right top corner. Give a new name as you like.
sometimes, when you installed your game inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\ (system drive), this issue can be happened. you can try this: - go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Final Fantasy VII Rebirth\ - look up for this file: ff7rebirth.exe , right click on it, choose "properties". Under "Compatibility" give check on "Run this program as an administrator" - click apply and ok button - re-run your game
** for EGS version, you can do the same for ff7rebirth.exe file
BUT the easiest way is just make a new preset from my custom shader by click + (plus) button in Reshade UI.

I will try adding sharpening like u described, probably tomorrow.

Just to oled protection

Just set Windows HDR ON, then running the game in fullscreen mode.
