I'd like to feature Lyall's FF7RebirthFix mod. Aside from providing ultrawide fixes, it also allows us to finally extend the very obvious shadow distance cutoff! It costs a bit of FPS but I think it's well worth the visual consistency it provides. Just make sure to set TweakDistances = true inside FF7RebirthFix.ini. It also supposedly allows changing of Shadow Resolution, but I find that it doesn't work (with or without my mod).
Before
After
An interesting observation I found is that the stock's shadow behavior runs on two cascade levels, a Near (before cutoff) and Far (after cutoff):
How do I actually make the shadows higher resolutions like the "best" example in the example? I use the latest version of you "Scalability" and "Maximize Draw-Distance" files and as well as the latest FF7RebirthFix version with TweakDistances = true inside FF7RebirthFix.ini. And I have set all the graphics presets to max in game, but the shadows still don't look as good as the one you are showing. What am I doing wrong?
Oh ok! Now I know what to do, thanks. But do I need to write it in the console every time I launch the game? Can I save the setting somewhere so the game launches with it?
@natsu4312 I don't claim to improve performance in my mods since more often than not, they actually reduce it in exchange for higher visual quality. If it does help frametime stability, then that's great! If it doesn't well, vanilla is always an option.
There are still some texture issues with some plants, mainly in Gongaga. The textures of some plants will only load unless you are very close and point the game camera at the plants. Taking just a little step will cause the texture to return to a very blurry state.
I am not exactly using this mod, however i noticed the stutters are mostly caused by running Background Model Detail at Ultra. High causes less stutter. Also enabling Anti-Lag worked for me.
It really amazes me, both how Square actually pulled off making such a game/world in UE4 actually work decently, AND how much work the modders now are doing to perfect the experience. It really shows the care and love for FFVII, both from Square and us fans <3
I have been fiddling with the Engine.ini on and off for some weeks now and I think I've gotten it almost where I want it. I just cant seem to get rid of the last occasional pop-ins during ingame cut-scenes, the memory leak (resulting in some stutters after 15-20 mins of gameplay), and weapons/accs/items models not appearing in the menu.

Does anyone, from the description and info stated previously, know how to fix the above mentioned problems? What I'm after is basicly as perfect and stutter-free experience at 1080p 60fps, and as good-looking textures and lighting/shadows that is possible with the hardware I got.
This mod fixes ALL problems in Rebirth in VR!! all the crazy popups in the distance when you move your head and the draw distance, EVERYTHING magically looks great like in flatscreen!! Thanks soooo much this is a GAME CHANGER!
I think that versions after 1.83 are no longer suitable for use, but despite this, I still finished the game with this mod. Because it has better character LOD. I am very grateful for this. However, after 1.83, the detailed texture outside the camera will disappear, and when it enters the camera, the texture will suddenly pop up. This happens very often. And even if I turn up the quality, some textures, such as walls, ground, and grass, become very blurry and the texture will be loaded after a long time. I removed this mod today and found that everything is normal. I think 1.003 has actually fixed the initial stuttering problem, and the game now does not need any optimization mods.
Just gonna post this question here since this forum seems to have very detailed explanations: I'm new to modding and have been messing with some optimization mods and everything runs well and looks great EXCEPT some visual effects/ particle effects. e.g.: the UI for when something is interactable(like the arrow for climbing walls/ walking through doors etc) is extremely blurry and pixelated. I'm gonna look into it myself of course but just wondering if anyone might have an idea on whether it was a cvar or something.

sg.ShadowQuality 2
orsg.ShadowQuality 3

[ConsoleVariables]
sg.ShadowQuality=2 ; or 3

The Engine.ini I'm using is a mix of Ultimate Engine Tweaks and LOD Fix - Optimized Clarity with some lines added/edited due to recommendations from the comments on these mods.
Also using NaturalFantasy - Upscaled Environment Textures
Does anyone, from the description and info stated previously, know how to fix the above mentioned problems?

I'd gladly share the .ini if needed!
