In a future update, could you consider keeping the original naming for thr head MI/textures? this would make makeup mods work with yours (by allowing overwriting of your head texture thru mod re-ordering, ex adding aa to the makeup mod or zz to yours).
The custom head texture you edited is nice, but having options/modularity is even better in my opinion. Thanks!
The head belongs to the nude model base which is a custom material. Had trouble with people complaining in the past about the difference at the neckline when I used the vanilla head texture with the custom body, so I just use the custom head it comes any time I use the body for mods.
Modding with the custom model is just 100x easier, so that's just a sacrifice that has to be made unless the outfit can work with Aerith's in-game models.
That all make sense. didn't realize you used the nude base model. I just looked again in fmodel and can see the customskin, so yeah, I can see people complaining about the seam without the custom head. Oh well. Thanks for taking the time to answer, it's appreciated.
Thank you I appreciate it. Question though, have you tried injecting textures over the Custom textures if ripped from fmodel? I wonder if that's possible, not that you should have to do it, but was just curious.
Not yet but I might try. What I intend to do for now is tweak the makeup mod instead, since I realized that another mod I use for the other costa outfit use the same custom model you used. It probably will be simpler to go the other way around. I might try the texture injection tool later out of curiosity 😃
And success. I actually ended up extracting both textures and editing them in paint to create a custom one, then created my own pak. This preserve the appearance of the custom head, avoid having a neck seam while adding the make up I wanted. See below image (it`s oversatured, since in HDR)
Thanks for your tips, I even learned in the process. Fun stuff.
I'm glad it helped and it's good to know custom textures CAN be injected over! Also I don't know if when you say Paint you mean actual MS paint or are just calling a photo editing app that, but Photopea is basically a free web photoshop replica and if you don't want to go through the routes of obtaining PS.
A friend of mine will be really happy to hear you can inject over custom textures, she's been wanting to do edits of some of my mods! Thank you!
Any chance of making her hair with a loose ponytail behind (single or double) instead of the double braids? It's cute and reacts better to physics. not floating over her shoulders or chest.
I'm loving your Aerith mods btw, keep them coming!
Usually when I make a mod the hairstyle I give it is the one that sticks with it. The physics aren't great because they're weighted to her bangs and much longer than they are. But I can take this into consideration for future updates.
Thanks so much for making this. I feel like Aerith's official alt costumes look way too similar. It's always a ponytail with a pink outfit. Meanwhile Tifa gets totally different outfits and hairstyles. Aerith finally has a unique looking swimwear now. I do agree it would be awesome to have a dark brown hair version (slightly darker than her normal color) with a red bikini or something. Anyway thanks and keep up the good work!
Hair color mods work with this. These colors aren't a part of the mod.
I like the in-game outfits and think they are very representative of how they girls like to dress. Aerith has three hairstyle variations in rebirth (ponytail, ponytail with a twist base, and hair down) and her Costa outfits have nice variation. One is casual with a flowy wrap and one flirty and cute. So I don't know where this is coming from unless you just mean the color which is just a trait of both girls. Tifa often goes for dark, muted patterns, sexy outfits, whereas Aerith likes things pink, girly, conservative. Mods are just a fun way to see them in new things, but a lot of what modders make for them (myself included) they wouldn't be written to pick for themselves heh.
Dayummm, you did it again, Picasso of polygons! That hairstyle suits her so well. Another banger mod bro. I’m not saying you're a wizard, but if Hogwarts had a department for making Aerith better than she already is, you’d be Headmaster
Amazingg mod!! i really like the hair style on her.. can you make a different mod for just the hair style , i wanna mix and match it with different outfit mods
Swappable hairstyle mods are not yet possible. Someone is working on something that MAY work for that in the future, but at the moment, hair is bound to the model they're on. I would absolutely love for that to be a thing one day!

I hope you continue making 'em!
