This mod is absolutely broken (sooo OP) with Arcane Ward of Aerith the enemies is can't touch you. No one even can approach you. I had to use a mod that increases the enemies hp by 3x and attack 2x. Even in this setting. Enemies has no chance bro. Tnx for the efforts
A quick question. Was there any update that made this mod not work ? All mods work for me except this one and instant magic. I tried to remove all mods and leave only this one and it still didn"t work.
No the game has not been updated and the mod works correctly, if you placed it in the correct ~mods folder you should see how the material augmentations are active and for example when you put two green materials together the one in the second slot will have the effect of attacking everyone.
Yeah, first I treid putting my magic materia paired with asess, steal and pray materias, and when it didn't work I tried pairing 2 magic materias together and it also didn't work. Maybe some mod I had left some stuff on one of my saves and because of that it doesn't work.
Do you know if those mods have any major conflict with other mods ?
Well I couldn't tell you if these mods conflict with other new ones I created them more than a year ago, the mods only modify the Materia.uasset file. The save game thing can't be because the mod works with the mechanics of the materia system and that doesn't stay in the save games. They should work if you use them alone or with mods that I create, I always indicate whether or not they are compatible with my other mods, if they work alone you only have to add mods from other authors to see which one conflicts with them. There is also the trick of adding a ZZZ at the beginning of the file name so that they are the last to load from the ~mods folder.
Not sure if people are still active but I noticed that Chakra does not heal for 80% of the damage but everything else works the same. Any tips? Hard mode is brutal without chakra cheese.
I encountered an interesting effect after changing the ATB costs of what I consider to be OP spells like Stop and Wall from 1000 to 2000 ATB in the "BattleAbility" file: neither the graphic nor the spell's effect magnify (that is, the spell only affected the one being targeted, not the group of nearby enemies for the debuff or the whole team for the buff), despite the icon appearing in the UI of the battle menu.
I would be curious to hear your thoughts about how to fix this, as the reason I increased the ATB cost was to try to balance some of the more powerful debuffs and buffs in the game (given how easy it is to magnify spells into ATB).
You might wonder why link the spells at all then? Why not just leave them unlinked and revert the ATB costs? Well, Slow is also on the Time materia and unlike Stop having magnify on Slow is not OP IMO; it's more of a time saver, which is partly why I like this mod so much.
This MOD is an imperfect MOD, as you already noticed when you change the type of material to perform Magnify the materials acquire the patterns of the blue materials, that's why the bindings do not work as the materials such as MP Absorption. I could not get the MOD to work with both materials at the same time in each double slot so if you change the ATB the one in the first slot will consume twice as much and will not give you the Magnify effect.
Any modification that you get on your own and you see that it works well you can share it with all NEXUS users.
Yes, I apologize if my comments came across as too critical (if indeed that is the perception), as I wish to just be as informative as I can be while hopefully pushing these mods further with what we can change about the game. I'll keep tinkering with it and see what I can do, though my knowledge and skill isn't quite there. If I produce something new or different, I may share it, and I'm grateful for your numerous and excellent contributions.
No need to apologize, I do not have time to test each and every one of my MODS to perfection, so it is appreciated that people comment on what does not work well and if I can fix it, in this case the problems multiply the more you modify the parameters hehehehehe ....
Right. Why do you think MP Absorption doesn't link with any of the magic materia but other blue ones like Elemental or Warding do? How did you get the magnification to work with linked magic materia to begin with?
Let's see if I can remember and explain it well, the first thing you have to modify is the LinkSrcFlag of the magic that you want to modify, which is what indicates the type of link (that the two materials are joined and the blue light that surrounds them appears) the Magnify Materia is 32. The second thing that you have to modify is EffectType_Array that is the one that indicates the type of effect that must be made for the link that is made, in this case the one of the Magnify Materia is the 50.
From here you can try different combinations for the magic like: HP Absorption Materia LinkSrcFlag 64 EffectType_Array 53
Hello, & good work on this great mod. I was wondering if there is a way to add multiple spell effects to materia to mimic the effects of Master Materia (Master Magic, Master Command, etc.) from OG FF7?
im using this mod with weapon upgrade skills X2 Custom armors and it doesn't show the number changed in the elemental materia mp/hp up materia but the magnify effect is working so im not shure if the text just doesn't get changed
Hello, in theory the texts should be fine, because none of the mods you name conflict with this mod. I have tested the mod without any other mod and the texts work fine, try it alone and keep adding mods until you find the conflict.
Thanks for creating this mod, Gantz79. I'm grateful for you and all of the FF7R modding community for continuing to provide us with so much fun content!
It's confusing when I try to read the description on this page, and I read all of the comments, so I haven't tried this out yet. I'm really curious what language you speak and how you translated it to English. If you're interested, I'd be happy to message back and forth a few times, and I could help translate / rewrite the description to be more clear :)
