I just picked the game up on Steam and this was the first mod I went to. Unfortunately it seems to crash the game. Running Windows 11, EVGA 3080TI, Ryzen 7 3700x. I install the mod and run the game, and after a few seconds the game locks. I can get it running again if I hit the windows key, but the moment I get back in the game it freezes again. Is there a difference with the Steam version that could be causing issues?
Edit: only fix I've found is to install the mod and launch the game, then delete the mod. It still works, as long as it's not actually in the folder anymore.
So I did actually ask the FF7R modding community if there are differences between versions, but they said that there aren't any. I'm not sure what could be causing it honestly
