If you wanted to replace the icon you'd have to edit the texture file of the icon. This file just removes the storyteller icon completely.
If you select or hover over where one of the icons would normally show you'll still get the window that shows up in the image you posted.
Edit: I just now noticed the top left icon that you were talking about. I think there are two different texture files for each icon. One for selected and one for deselected. Maybe you need to edit the other one? I'm not certain.
I'm trying to make a custom icon also without success. I'm exporting both worldmap/waypoint .sps as .dds with noesis, editing on PS and then exporting it as .sps also with noesis. Both files have the same size as the originals. I repack them as .psarc and put it on the psarc folder, but the game don't recognize it and still show the originals icons. I also tried exporting the files as .tga to no avail. I'm getting crazy!
OMG, you're a GOD!!!! I can't thank you enough. I played the original version back in 2020 and the day they announced a multiplayer component was one of the worst days of my life (yes. I'm weird). I hate multiplayer games and this was one of my top three single player games. Imagine my reaction when I realized that now the map was littered with icons to enter a multiplayer mode...
EDIT> I realized that the places still exists but with transparent icons. Being that the case, could you please add an option to add a small circle icon. Maybe greyed out to be less intrusive. At least that way I know where I can fast travel, the only useful feature of the LS icons. Thanks.
Is this mod also remove the questionmark icon related to the storyteller icon? I'm experiencing a bug that storyteller icons keep resetting back to questionmark icons everytime loading into the game. It's weird that this bug remains since ps4 version of the game and still no proper fix.
To this day I still wonder what in the holy hell was the design decision to put all those icons on the map when you can simply enter Legends by pausing the game and doing so from there... I still have no answer.
