Watch Deef's video on how to install, or try and follow my bad written instructions. Also watch the video from the beginning for a showcase of the mod.
Time stampped urls apparently don't work. so skip to 21:38 for the install tutorial or click here
P.S. Deef here, hi. The guide at the end of the video is not as good as this other video I did for it, for free, over on Patreon (you DON'T even need a Patreon account): https://www.patreon.com/posts/111021112
Made by Tavreth. If you want you can give me some thanks here.
This mod was funded by Bean_Burrito and Deef. They also were great mod testers.
Simplified text version of instructions + known bugs/issues with some fixes:
1. Install Cheat Engine (https://www.cheatengine.org/) - you may need to disable Windows Defender to do so, or simply download the Patreon version without advertisements in it (they flag on Defender). Another option is compiling CheatEngine from the source code, which you can do so by following the instructions at the bottom of https://www.github.com/cheat-engine/cheat-engine .
2. Launch Cheat Engine, then head to edit > settings and under general settings, check the box at the bottom beside "Even autoattach when another process has already been selected".
3. Launch Ghost Recon Breakpoint (DirectX11, not Vulkan).
4. In Cheat Engine, Head to File > Open File, and open the .ct you have downloaded.
5. Next, head to File > Open Process and in the applications tab, find Ghost Recon (it should have GRB.exe in the name) select it and click open.
6. Now, with the .ct open in Cheat Engine, activate the FirstPerson script at the bottom of Cheat Engine by clicking the box to the right of the field labelled FirstPerson.
7. Head into game and enjoy! The default hotkeys are Ctrl+Shift+0 to toggle FirstPerson and numpad +/- to adjust FOV. To edit these, see the video linked above. It's very straightforward.
KNOWN BUGS & ISSUES
----------------------------
• Upon activating the mod, your camera will need to be re-adjusted (it will be inside the player model head), do this by aiming, then toggling your ADS. The same applies when de-activating and using normal third person mode, simply aim and toggle ADS after switching the mod off.
• Launching on Steam and Epic Games Launcher will likely require -DX11 or similar in launch parameters to force DirectX11 - a quick google should show you more info.
• Head camera resets if you pick up an enemy weapon.
• If you are getting "Error in line 2 (alloc(FOV,2048,"GRB.exe"+10F4B73))" etc or similar, try manually attaching the .ct to your game (open .ct, launch game, top left button, applications tab, Ghost Recon Breakpoint). If you are still getting this error and that did not work, you may have compiled CheatEngine yourself, and sometimes recompiling can fix this.
• Ubisoft+ users, you will need to either buy the game OR use this version of the mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/ghostreconbreakpoint/mods/569
• If your back is close to a wall and you are aiming outward, the laser will glitch through the gun, not game breaking.
• Binoculars do not work properly, it will show your hands inside the binocular view. I recommend just using your drone instead for recon.
• Rocket Launcher is not visible as it clips out of view in first person.
• Guns are blurred. The fix for this is available at the link in the description, or here: https://www.nexusmods.com/ghostreconbreakpoint/mods/550
• If you're using Spartan UI mod, this might clash with the deblur mod since they both use an altered d3dx.ini file. Simply open your d3dx.ini from your Spartan UI mod, rather than using the one in the deblur .zip - and under "Shader manipulations without patches + shader filtering" header, put the following:[ShaderOverride1]Hash=0399ed8e43d82473Handling=skip[ShaderOverride2]Hash=d424f6d0d2763234Handling=skip If your gun is still blurry, turn off motion blur, restart the game, then activate it again, it should now all work and you won't need to do this again.
• Some vehicles are impossible to drive in First Person, simply toggle the mod off to drive without crashing into multiple trees.
• Cinematic camera (when doing close quarter knife attacks, accessing intel, or in cutscenes) will act strange, but not break the game, if you want to see it properly in a cutscene for example, just toggle the mod off.
• T shirts will make your body invisible as will some other cosmetic chest items, but not all. Russian Summer Jacket also causes a clipping issue where you can see through your own neck.
