So far so good but I'm already stuck at level 4 Found all five switches but now I'm facing a door with a lock that needs a key and I didn't find it. Searched the whole level and even level 3 in case I missed it here, but with no luck. If someone remembers where to find this key, pease help !!
Thanks. I know I'm coming late, never looked for mods before for Grimrock. You did a hell of a work, I'm now level 53 and enjoying it, some combats are hard but old players like it this way Anyway, good job on this one. I'll seek your other mods.
It's a few years too late but I had the same problem. I finally discovered you need a prison key and since I couldn't find one anywhere I cheated and used the console to spawn one.
Sadly stuck on the same level, 47, I've checked every wall 3x for a hidden button no joy. Wondering if this dungeon mod has fraggable walls maybe need to dig through one? Have not tried pounding every surface to check... I see others talking about being higher than 47 so there must be something but I can't find it.
Started playing this with my saved game after a break. I'm like that with games, play one for a while and then come back to it later. Did 12 hours last night and went from about level 20 to level 40. The game has never crashed on me, ever. Touch wood. All I have is an NVidia 8800 GPU. Got very stuck once when I couldn't find a secret button to advance to the next floor; looked everywhere. Well, I thought that I had. Gave up and looked at your guide. Thanks for that. Only time that I got stuck, as I do explore all of each level, even if I have already found the stairs down. Really does pay to do this, as there are lots of goodies to be found....spell scrolls, gems, potion-making kit, armour and weapons. Great stuff, making exploration essential, as it should be. 2 fighters, both at 50 with swords and at level 20 with about 1000 health. 2 mages with different attack spells (one is fire and lightning, the other is earth and ice) and mid-twenties in them and spell-crafting to. Had to go back to a re-spawning lizard area, as my food was low. Bit of a traipse through a dozen levels but I found a health scroll that I had somehow missed. Probably when I was in combat in that area.
Version 6 is ready. I accidently erased the entire post here when I was just trying to get rid of the previous version file.
A previous version is here on file factory for those wishing to import there characters to floor 30 due too a door problem. http://www.filefactory.com/file/5tm4jrx7dff7/Dungeon_Master_The_Lord_of_Chaos.dat
Another version to fix enchanting melee weapons problem with starting location on floor 38 is here. http://www.filefactory.com/file/3i7fm0vtryeb/Dungeon_Master_The_Lord_of_Chaos.dat
Level 11, The Spirit Underground. Really tough level with re-spawning enemies and I can't find the stairs down to level 12. I did see a teleporter and ran into it, as my party were near death and being pursued by lots of enemies. The teleporter just took me back near the start by the stairs. Please help. Edit Finally, I found the stairs down, after many attempts. Had a quick look at level 12 and things seem like back to normal. Level 11 was such a difficulty spike. Now that I know that the stairs down to level 12 do exist, I am going to start a new game with 2 sword fighters and 2 mages. My unarmed fighter just wasn't doing much damage in combat. Great mod; enjoying it immensely.
Re-started with a new party, as I think I misses a lot of things in previous playthroughs. Just got through that poison level and what a struggle. Was saving every few minutes. Took me a while to realise that the little green pain in the asses kept re-spawning. So, rather than letting them come to me, I charged in and killed 'em. No turning back as they re-spawn. I must say that I very much like the alchemy, which gives you a wide choice in improving your attributes. Started with an imported party at level 14, the usual suspects, 2 fighters and 2 mages. One fighter with swords and the other unarmed combat specialist. 70 levels. Only 60 more to go then. Hugely enjoyable mod.
Started out with an imported party (level 16, 2 fighters and 2 mages) and so far so good; no doubt it will soon get harder.
Had to check the posts, as I could only find one secret button in the top leftish of the map and got fed up after half an hour of searching. Didn't know that there were 2 more. Anyway, the map co-ordinates that you gave for the buttons were there and the gate opened.
This dungeon is horrible... One of the worst I've played actually. And I'm shocked that it have so many endorsements when there are mods much-much better than this but people see this awful abomination on top of the list. I regret the time I've spent on this poorly made thingy...
