download and unzip "Allagga 1.1-105-1-1-1637172532.rar"
in "Allaga Textures 1.1" copy the "pc" folder to the root folder where your GTAIV.exe is (likely ...>steamapps>common>Grand Theft Auto IV>GTAIV)
Replace the 5 files when prompted, you might get an "operation failed" error if you attempt move the files from the rar without unzipping them first
feel free to ignore the "GTA 1.0.4/7.0" folders, they are just text links to additional recommended graphics enhancing mods for the downgraded/current versions of the game
I thank you for the instructions given to us. it was actually easy to understand but for some reason my game still looks like base game even after i followed the instructions. do u think there isanything else im missing?
Here is your READ ME.... Un-Zip, drag and drop into directory. If your confused after that i suggest getting to be somewhat PC savvy because this is very simple lol. Good luck guys!
where in the directory? in the texture folder? Do i just drop the folder in there? do i need to downgrade the game? There's a lot of questions that need to be answered that the creator simply doesn't answer. No one is born knowing anything and you can never learn anything if someone doesn't impart some kind of knowledge first. A simple txt file explaining things would have been nice.
You should still be much more specific because I've encountered many mods with subtle differences on this. Do I drop the entire folder ITSELF into the directory? Some or all of its contents? Step by step instructions that are extremely clear and give exact directories and numbered steps would be preferable than making this mildly judgmental and not at all helpful post.
Is there any possible way to Use DXVK togehter with Reshade and ENB? I have ENB and Reshade installed and loaded the Reshade dll trough ENB proxy setting.
Edit: Found a way just installing Reshade trough vulkan and then use the proxy setting from ENB for DXVK. But I will deinstall the Allaga Mod, its still highly unstable and freez my game after couple of minutes playing, and constantly stutter.
Could be my older pc, but I even read from guys with 3060ti cards the same
No 1gb is still quite literally 1gb and not everyone has unlimited bandwidth. Nobody forced him to download it but I agree not having any kind of instructions is kind of annoying.
u literally just drag it into ur game directory its not rocket science are you guys sped? Also if you "waste" one gig then you got a lot of other things to worry about than playing games and downloading mods lmfao
Even going beyond the limited bandwidth, you have no clue if anyone coming to download your mod has even modded a game before. For all you know, that person just got their first gaming PC and literally has no clue how to do anything. You have the right to not include instructions, but it's also not great to not have them when it's not immediately clear how to implement the mod. People also have the right to call you out for not having instructions.
No people will complain, this why the comments section is for. It doesn't take a lot of time to simply just add it for anyone to read them. Instead of replying to comments.
well on the old san andreas i have the rosa hd texture mods and thats like 5 or more gbs i believe. you seem to know mods so just find the files to replace. nothing else, that ice enhancers page has a read me
The problem is, even when there are Instructions, and a detailed Description, people will cry about something not working. Ask question already 10 times answered and then complain that the modder is bad...
I saw all of that, and literally can understand, when a Modder say no to this. There are almost in any comment section someone asking stuff that already written in the description.
One time someone ask for an Issue he had, another guy, explain the issue and what he needs to do... Without any thank from the guy for the help. He just complained about why this not written in an Instruction...
Let the other guy, rage out, because exactly that, we're done already. And he just stated, that this guy maybe should use his energy to open his damn eyes, instead of write a comment
There isn't a single video explaining how to download this particular mod unless it's inside one of the countless videos about generally modding this game. so a new modder would have to click random videos and watch them in their entirety and hope one of those videos mentions this particular mod at some point in the video...just add a txt file explaining how to install it. it's not that hard.
Absolutely the same, it does not appear immediately, but over time Sometimes it goes away by itself after a cutscene. The longer I play, the more often it appears
I tried to create my own mod based on AI-enhanced textures. The fact is that at some point, the game engine stops adequately perceiving high-quality textures, which is why it tries to get rid of them, replace them with low-quality LODs. I have no idea how to fix it, later I will try again to improve all the textures in the game by pre-installing the DXVK mod, which replaces the outdated DirectX 9 with the Vulkan API. Maybe this will help.
I found out that commandline.txt is completely ignored on Steam Complete Edition of this game. I had terrible texture problems until I removed that whole file and added all the commands (much like those posted by you) to the steam launch parameters.

Can you do it for MAFIA 3?
old rage cant support highres images, this is a problem with an outdated game engine
im using commandline like this: -percentvidmem 100 -force2vb -availablevidmem 8192 -novblank -notimefix -norestrictions -noswapdelay -no_3GB -nomemrestrict -reservedApp 0 -notimefix /high
my pc config: rtx 3060 TI, r5 5600x, 32 gb ram, ssd nvme samsung 980
i also noticed that the developer changed the textures only in the hove beach area, but the rest of the city was not touched
so, this issue is most pronounced in hove beach
