the raytracing bounces twice allowing for more realistic reflections, the lod has been changed to a higher value and all graphic settings are set to ultra
I think it works if you change it also in settings_preset_very_high_rt.xml and settings_preset_maximum_rt.xml in Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced\update\update.rpf\x64\data\ui
You can also enable Hyper-Threading by changing to true <MulticoreRendering value=“true” /> I don't know how this will affect performance, but I think it's a bit better. This is disabled by default. This needs to be changed in addition to the path \Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced\x64a.rpf\data in settings.xml and presets.meta
I also recommend replacing procedural.meta in Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced\update\update.rpf\common\data\materials to enable shadows to all small objects and debris, which are disabled by default even with ray tracing.
I probably won't write how to change the .rpf on Enhanced to make it work. There is already enough information about it somewhere.
Bro, how to "replacing procedural.meta in Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced\update\update.rpf\common\data\materials to enable shadows to all small objects and debris"
Medium works now even with LODScale set to 1.0! Nice, Endorsed!
I did notice Ped and Vehicle LOD got reset really low so i closed the game and changed both back to 1.0 and it's sticking for now. I'm not sure why your config doesn't have NVIDIA Reflex and DLSS on by default tho, it's easy performance gains and reduces load on the GPU. Also having V-SYNC on is kinda weird but IG a lot of people still dont have monitors that support G-SYNC/FreeSync.
Legit 50% of people say it gets changed by the game and another 50% say its unchanged, for me they are unchanged including double bounce, its weird how some people get that and some people dont. and i dont have dlss or nvidia reflex on by default so people with amd gpus or intel gpus can select it on their own terms lol
This mod is wrong for lod. Lod scale should be at max default of 1. Edit this setting, MaxLodScale value. <MaxLodScale value="4.000000" />. this is max lod for Draw distance. Lowest is zero highest is 4. There is a major framerate hit at 4 so setting it at 2 or 3 won't be as much of a framerate hit.
It seems to me that such "mods" should be blocked from the moment when comparison screenshots are posted. I tried to find the difference, but I didn't see it.
thats in openformats by alexander blade not settings.xml, we simply need to wait for an update, this mod unlocks hidden settings that usually cant be edited, allowing for higher LOD, better looking raytracing, and full ultra settings.
You can disable any post effects with Shader Toggler, which can't even be disabled using the game settings and without having to edit tweaks in .rpf files. https://github.com/FransBouma/ShaderToggler
The settings.xml file keep changing when launching the game. Looking at the file while in game the LodScale is suddenly 0.000000 instead of 2.000000. Any solution to this?
Compared to mine, I see these changes, aside from stuff like upscaling and a very weird 990p resolution: <LodScale value="2.000000" /> <PedLodBias value="0.400000" /> <VehicleLodBias value="0.300000" /> <UltraShadows_Enabled value="true" /> <Shadow_Distance value="2.000000" /> <RTIndirectDiffuse_SecondBounce_Enabled value="true" /> So yes aside from the double RT bounce it is just the extra LODs, really.
the exact changes are to Lodscale, PedLodBias, VehicalLodBias, All graphic settings to ultra, RTIndirectDiffuse_SecondBounce, and a couple more basic ones e.g. MaxLodScale, Resolution, and Ignore Limits.

Replacing? With what?
