If you are using other mods, feel free to use ModUtil 2.9.0 from Nexus. It should work fine.
I use the latest ModUtil 4.0.0. Please let us know in Github if you have any crash or bug with that version.
OlympusExtra
Have you wanted more game-expanding content for Supergiant's Hades? Do you find it strange that four Olympians were left out of the god lineup in the original game? So do we, and we've set out to fix that! OlympusExtra aims to add fully integrated new gods into the original game with unique boons, curses, art, fully voiced original dialogue, new questlines, and more.
Our current release includes Apollo, Hestia and Hera, and we are working on Hephastus and a new Mirror Page for upcoming releases. We've also added a companion summon for Cerberus, and are planning additional weapons, NPCs, and much more—stay tuned here at NexusMods, on GitHub, or on Twitter.
ApolloExtra:
Don't you find it strange how Apollo was left behind in the original game? Because we do! Many Hades players have wanted Apollo to appear in Hades, so here he is, in all his bright and musical glory! The god of light has a signature move called "Blind", which gives your foes a chance to miss their next attack.
ApolloExtra includes:
- Apollo Boons
- Apollo Keepsake
- Apollo Dialogues
- Apollo's Wrath (Trial of the Gods)
- Apollo Duo Boons
- Theseus's Apollo Summon
HestiaExtra
Hestia is no longer on Olympus, but she has enough compassion and kindness to spare to help you anyway. The goddess of the hearth can help you out with a trail of fire behind your dash, a healing call, a cast and more that can summon lava pools, and a brand new mechanic called "attract" which pulls foes in towards you.
HestiaExtra includes:
- Hestia Boons
- Hestia Keepsake
- Hestia Dialogues
- Hestia's Wrath (Trial of the Gods)
- Hestia's Forgiveness: at Trials of the Gods involving Hestia, an interesting event might occur!
- Hestia Duo Boons
- Theseus's Hestia Summon
- BONUS: Cerberus is now available as a summonable companion! Take Companion Solo with you on your runs, and summon the very good boy to help you out of a jam.
HeraExtra
Bow down before the Queen of Olympus. Hera heard of your quest to come to her domain and decided to help you after all. Her synergy with other gods’ boons and her various pact with the commoners of the underworld might give you a better chance of escape.
HeraExtra includes:
- Hera Boons
- Hera Keepsake
- Hera Dialogues
- Hera’s Wrath (Trial of the Gods)
- Hera Duo Boons
- Theseus’s Hera Summon
MinorExtra
Other minor additions which we've added to the game for more fun!
- Cerberus, bestest of boys, has a companion summon Solo. Solo can be found on the second page of the keepsake box!
HephaestusExtra
The god of the forge has arrived! A little slower than his counterpart, Hermes, and finally finished with some of his forge work, Hephaestus has found the time to send his boons your way! His domain involves weapon and boon improvements, as well as providing your attack and defense with some extra Oomph! Hephaestus occasionally appear instead of Hermes, but both will not appear at the same run!
Hephaestus Extra includes:
- Hephaestus Boons
- Hephaestus Keepsake
- Hephaestus Dialogues (currently unvoiced)
- Shiny and improved legendary boons from other gods, tinkered by Hephaestus
- new Mirror Page
- new weapons
- new NPCs
- and more!
Be the first to collect them all in your Codex.

Disclaimer!
YOUR SAVE FILES MAY BE CORRUPTED IF YOUR GAME IS MODDED INCORRECTLY! PLEASE CREATE A BACKUP OF YOUR SAVE FILES BEFORE INSTALLING ANY MODS IF YOU WISH TO KEEP YOUR PROGRESS!
To create a backup of your save files, copy everything inside the Documents\Saved Games\Hades folder, and paste it in a safe place that you can restore from in case of file corruption or crashes. In the event that the game crashes and cannot be restored, you can replace the files in that folder with the backup which you have copied. Alternatively, for Steam users, you can also go to Library > Right-click on Hades > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files.

Bug Reports
Please note that OlympusExtra is still in beta testing, so it is very possible that your Hades game might crash during play, or otherwise behave in an unexpected manner. We have run our own debugging and testing as best we can before any release, but we can't always catch every potential issue. Additionally, not all features have been fully implemented yet, and some may still be buggy. We welcome your feedback and bug reports on the Hades Modding Discord, or you can open an Issue on GitHub. Please also note that we rarely check the comments here on Nexus, so we highly encourage you to report bugs in one of those two places, rather than here.

Locating Your Hades Game Folder For Modding
- Steam: Library > Right-click on Hades > Manage > Browse local files
- Epic Games: Go to C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Hades
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pre-Requisites
- You will need the latest version of modimporter. If needed, installation instructions can be found here.
- You'll also need the latest version of Mod Utility. Place the unzipped contents in the Hades\Content\Mods folder. (If the Mods folder does not yet exist, it should be created.)
- If you are using the CodexMenu mod, please make sure you have the latest version, since OlympusExtra is only compatible with CodexMenu v2.5.1 or later. You might need to take CodexMenu.lua from here if it's not updated here on Nexus.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Installation Instructions
- Make sure you fulfill the above pre-requisites. (You should have the latest version of all pre-reqs listed above, or else the mod installation will have errors!)
- Download the most recent OlympusExtra mod from Files tab here on Nexus, or the Releases section of GitHub. (If you download from GitHub, be sure to also download the VO.fsb file!)
- Place the unzipped contents in the Hades\Content\Mods folder. (If the Mods folder does not yet exist, it should be created.) If you downloaded the files from GitHub, VO.fsb should go inside the OlympusExtra\Audio folder.
- Run the Hades\Content\modimporter.exe executable.
- Open Hades and start playing!
Mac users
The mod requires a folder in Hades/Content that is titled Win on Windows version; when it doesn't find it, it creates one. Just move the contents of the folder called "Win" into the folder titled "macOS". There'll be 2 folders in "Win", maps and packages, just move the contents of these into the respective same titled ones on "macOS" and it should be running smoothly. [by Enyu69]
Common Mistakes
- When installing the mod, make sure the name of the folder it's in is OlympusExtra, inside the Mods folder.
- Always make sure you have the latest version of OlympusExtra, ModUtil and modimporter. We work very closely, and try to always make sure all three of our respective releases are compatible with the most recent versions of the other two.
