This feels like one of those ambitious Halo Custom Edition maps that are borderline fanfiction. AND I LOVE IT, although the vehicle sections in Tsavo Highway are a pain in the ass due to the fact Brutes have ungodly amounts of health. Please tweak it so that we don't have to rely on headshot/instakill weapons to take care of them.
Yeah many people have told me to nerf them, i did want to make the brutes harder because since you fight elites, i wanted to make them like their h2 counterparts, while trying to stay with a rank system. I'll wait till season 8 for another update due to the flight just came out meaning its not long till we it happens and I already know its going to break everything. Thanks for the support :)
Tell me a bit more about your mod. Particularly what you did to the Sangheili/Elite allies. Do they switch between guns and swords in battle? Do they throw plasma grenades? I am contemplating trying your mod while I wait for other Sangheili-related mods to reach either completion or stability (that was 343's Season 6 that caused those '3' mods to stop working, so damn them for that). Also, you have any plans for the Flood?
In this mod, you fight against the loyalist faction of the covenant, (this is where as of now you see the vanilla elites in blue and purple armor) I don't really know how to make them switch weapons, however in the missions they will have swords, and sometimes even fuel rods. However, the arbitor's personal unit, Blades of the Arbiter, or yeah swords of sanghelios, fight with you, one of the best bladesmen, Ze Jam, also fights alongside you. The loyal elites don't come till the second mission, and the zealot is a storm only boss. The elites have a lot of health, making the brutes have even more. When I learn how to make them better I will cuz I really want to do that, and yes I have plans to do the rest of halo 3's campaign. You also fight alongside master chief and arbiter as well. Some enemy elites do duel wield but not just plasma rifles but also a combo of spike rifles and plasma rifles too. Sword elites do the same as well
COOL. I saw "Ze Jam" in the mod's description. I assume the Arbiter's armor hasn't changed? And I didn't know the player SPARTAN was a distinct character. I did see a glimpse of the Zealot in the screenshots.
Do allied Elites throw grenades?
Are there specialized Brutes that throw or carry fire grenades? When it comes to HALO 3, it's a unanimous and unwritten observation that that particular grenade was lacking in the vanilla game.
Also, as far as the part about Elites switching weapons, I've seen that in one mod (Bungie Restoration Project's version). I observed in that mod, and to a far lesser extension HALO 5, that when a high-ranked Elite like an Ultra or Spec-Ops gets in close proximity to an enemy (a Brute or Flood in HALO 3), they go berserk and switch to energy swords, like the Ultras in HALO 2, except this time they switch back to their other weapon when all hostiles are clear.
With all the recent news related to HALO INFINITE, I grow skeptical of 343's plan for that game. If there's one I do like what 343 has done, it's what they added to the Elites in their Season 7 update, one of the FEW things I've liked them doing as of late.
oh yeah thats what you mean, yeah I could do that but I believe only hero characters have it, such as chief, ze jam, and arby. I won't say what chief's berserk weapon is cuz its kinda a bit much but you will see
I suppose. Perhaps the Arbiter and Ze Jam can be the only Sangheili allies who "go berserk" before their shields drop. And the other unnamed allied Swords of Sanghelios (or Blades of the Arbiter in your mod) could only go berserk when their shields drop, kind of like the Arbiter in the vanilla game.
(Regarding Chief) He has a berserk mode of his own? OK, for once I am intrigued about a Human character.
Due to season 7 coming soon, and some tools in assembly for me aren't working or showing up for some reason, Act 2 and 3 will not come out until around post season 7's launch. Also cuz i have finals coming up and don't have time to work on it, that being said I will use this to work on smaller mods for other halo campaigns, mainly 3, reach, and possibly 4.
I am a new modder and I don't know much about modding between steam and windows, maybe sometime in the future when the campaign is done I can look to Microsoft store but for now I don't know, maybe you can try if you haven't but I don't know.
It will, each act is just what i use to divide halo 3 campaign with its releases. An example is that when I finish floodgate, ark and covenant I will then publish it as act 2. Once i publish act 3 I'll go back to adjust the levels of act 1 and from there i might be done. I never tried legendary but I will say it will be a lot different than halo 3's campaign, many scenarios have been changed to each be more of a challenge to be more of a army battle. Yes it will be a full campaign.
ok i will wait for it to finish and then do it deathless i'm gonna go do demon mod that should take me a little why i'll just finished ruby rebalanced halo 1 and halo 3 combat devolved 2.0 deathless but this looks really fun i cant wait mate are u able to like put humans on levels like cortana and halo like amazon having a team and trying to keep them alive from the flood and then they turn into flood and betray you that would be a lot of fun but i don't no if that's possible but this looks really fun i cant wait u will have to check out my you tube titansbeats
I know you can put humans on halo for someone has done it in the past and I was able to copy what they did in my own version of the level, I am sure you can put humans in cortana just unlike hale where arbiter follows you, no ai follow you in cortana do I might just have them secure parts of the levels like they are breaching. In halo because the arbiter followed you i just gave the humans/elites the same follow command as the arbiter.

A halo reach mod will come out soon.
