also btw the archive is improperly set up to be downloaded with mod manager though i have managed to fix this. Can send u the fixed archive. just had to put all the maps folder into a new folder called halo3odst in the vortex archive.
one more thing, would be really cool if we could get an optional file without the equipment access since theres no animation to deploy them i use bumper jumper so jumping also releases euipment when using controller which can be very awkward
Hello, looks like a really good mod, but judging by other comments not it's working. Update would be welcomed by the community! Cheers
P.S. there's a steam workshop workaround, could possibly publish this on steam. Subscriber fix by copying all .map files in mod folder and paste them into the earlier halo3odst\maps folder.
Hello, haven't tried out his mod yet and I know it looks amazing. the only problem is, just like many others I can't seem to get it working. I launch the mission and it immediately kicks me out. can you add installment instructions or know of information as to why this happens to many of us. we would like to see this mod work in our own paythroughs. This is our only problem it seems.
This is by far the best way to appreciate ODST right now, in my opinion. It works perfectly and it elevates the original level design with the tweaks you made to the sandbox. It makes more sense to have Elites in the different encounters, they're fun to fight and they tend to enhance some previously tedious encounters (especially in Kikowani Station). I like the way you placed the added weapons, always make sense and there's never too much of them. It also renders the flood firefight experience incredibly intense!
I did a whole heroic playthrough a took my time doing it. I can confirm it works great while sometimes challenging (not at the same place it was in vanilla, though!). I'm going straight up on another one in Legendary.
Other than that, there is still the damage dealing issue on each level but it is a minor inconvenience since there are medpacks most of the time on mission starts.
I don't really understand why your mod isn't more popular, it is the most interesting way to experience the game right now.
If I could mod myself, the only thing I would add (it is a weird one but bear with me I can explain) would be a powerful flashlight in addition to the Nightvision. It'd add to the atmosphere (+ you can experience the original color grading) and could be an interesting twist to the sandbox: you can see very clearly in front of you and potentially reduce enemy aim when the flashlight is pointed at them vs. nightvision which is a bit less effective but defines enemy (especially invisible ones).
So yeah, thank you again for the great experience!
