For some odd reason, while it still shows the backgrounds fine, it no longer plays the audio for some strange reason, due to a recent MCC update perhaps? Regardless, while visually it displays fine, there's no longer any bgm that plays. (and before you ask, yes, I DID set the main menu bgm to zero and am well aware that the bgm used to run without issue, but now it's completely silent, aside from the low ambient sfx that plays, of which I don't mind obviously)
Could you please make a compatible Steam Workshop variation of this? I'd be VERY APPRECIATIVE if you did, honestly. Since I would love to restore the bgm back to them after all. I mix this mod with the "Halo Wars" main menu mod ( https://www.nexusmods.com/halothemasterchiefcollection/mods/680 vid showcase: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5uHGNVHgqs#t=20s ) and that has a very similar issue to these.
Same issue here. Shows the background, but not playing any audio.
EDIT: check the comment further down. You need to keep main menu audio on atleast "1", since it will mute the audio if you have it all the way down on "0".
I had the same issue as well, and after playing with the settings for a while, I discovered a solution that'll work for now. I noticed that the Menu Music Volume slider in the Audio tab of Settings, acts as an ON/OFF switch of sorts, for any audio attached to the .bk2 files used for custom menu backgrounds. Its either muted at "0", or full volume when set from "1" -"100". No matter what volume you set the slider to (besides 0) the .bk2 audio will play at full blast.
Now, in any other circumstance, this would be an issue that needs to be patched... but in our case, it's the fix to our problem.
As a temporary answer to the issue of both audios playing over one another, you can set the Menu Music Volume to any level including 1%, essentially muting only MCC's built-in music. By doing so, you also "Turn on" your custom music at 100% volume, drowning out any of the default music that tries to come through at 1%.
Hope this helps, and let me know how it works for you! -Sam :D
I just got around to checking here and tried your suggestion, indeed it does work. Guess I'll be back here if something happens with the next future mcc update XD.
Hey~! I forgot to say, I reupped this onto steam so it would make it alot easier for people to use in the MCC. And I hope that's okay with you. I will kindly remove the workshop item if you do not want it to be on there.

Switched the main menu bgm audio to "1" like you said and the custom background bgm came back, so happily-relieved. <3

"oh i can't taste the pixels and cortana isn't coming out of the screen to blow me! how can i have these menus?!"
no seriously like 40gb for some menu files is absurd.

I have a bug with the 1080p pack and when I copy and paste the files in movies, when I start the game I get an error about verifying the game files
