Theoretically it's possible. It's just a lot more work.
It's been a while but the last time I used Autohotkey, it had very basic image search functionality that could check for images on your screen.
The single fundamental issue I can see is exact vs fuzzy matching, since not everyone plays at a specific resolution. There's also where on the screen to find the image since some people have the UI in different spots at different scales, etc. Mainly though, an image taken on a 4K screen is not the same as the image taken of 1920x1080, for example.
You would need to have the search images library generated per user, a very tedious process that the end user would need to do. Once they've done that you should be able to automate the detection which stratagems are available and assign them sequentially when the user presses B, for example.
An easier alternative is to write a GUI window in autohotkey to let you pick which buttons trigger what stratagems and alt-tab out to click around in that UI if you happen to change your loadout. A numberpad-like layout, for example, where you just pick the strats you want.
what exactly is the actual criticism in question? all i see is people disrespecting others for exactly what the original replier said, an accessibility feature
ReyRey99, this doesn't seem to be compatible with AHK 2.0, is there a reason for that? When attempting to run the script it annoys us with a message stating it needs v1. Can you update them?
Also, and probably more importantly, the scripts only sorta work? When I hit the asigned hotkeys my guy does the animation to pull the strat beacon out of his pants or whatever it is, but then immediately switches back to the equipped weapon. So the game is seeing that the hotkey is being pressed and is attempting to run the script, but isn't. Not sure what I'm doing wrong 🤷
While i myself will not be downloading this mod, people need to take a step back and look at what theyre fighting. this game is as good as it is because of a non toxic community, to an extent. this mod is like training wheels, you can look down on it all you want, but if a person wants to use them at any age, they are fully within rights, ethically and morally, to use them. you dont go telling them that they can only ride a bike the way everyone else does, because its not a community gated activity, nor will it ever be.
for those who dont like that sweet and sappy approach and prefer more direct and blunter reasons, and those of you who seemingly only care about killing computer enemies 'fairly' and 'with honor'. youre going up against tanks, atats, giant vomiting mosquitoes- and you feel UPSET that some of your teammates are gonna be using a mod to HELP KILL ENEMIES MORE EFFICIENTLY. would you rather have a struggling, liability-causing, teammate? no, you want one that can input a f*#@ing hellbomb correctly and properly call down 500kgs AT THE MOMENT THEYRE NEEDED. i mean if this was actual war, this'd be the equivalent of saying 'we cant use tanks in afghan because the afghans dont have em.' we in fact did not give a s#*!, and we definitely ran over a few bodies with some of our older abrams.
