Yes, it is; someone told me it wasn't louder so I made it louder. I uh, I should probably make it a little quiter; the audio for flowers stacks multiple audios on top of each other, so making all of those files louder means it stacks on top of each other in volume...
does using this type of mod make me liable to getting banned? I heard once that using mods on helldivers could get you banned, so I am quite scared of actually getting this mod even tho it *sounds* very handy
This mod is not able to get you banned. Helldivers actually doesn't seem to ban players for modding, as there haven't been any incidents of that happening afaik.
Just an FYI though, even though I've downloaded the "Less Loud Samples" version, the rare flower samples are still piercing my ears with their screams of the damned, but the shiny rock is quite bearable now!
Would wish for you to look into the flowers sound file again and see if you can maybe tweak it to be a bit quieter.
The issue was that flowers, for some reason, are the one and only sample that uses multiple sound files. I figured it was playing them one after another, as when I lined up the sounds, the beginning of one sound file seemed to sync with the end of another. I was a fool.
For some bizarre reason, flowers play more than one audio file on top of each other. One very loud sound wasn't too noticeable, but when they were layered sixfold on top of each other, it was far, far too much.
I have fixed the issue and uploaded a new version; tell me if it's too quiet, though I doubt that'll be the case..
...Probably? I was pretty much just playing it by ear, tweaking them until they were painfully loud to listen to outside of the game; I didn't really have a specific level of noise I was aiming for besides "loud". Would you like the flowers to be louder?
To tell the truth, I was being a little lazy but I've finally fixed it; tell me if they're uh, too loud... For some reason, there's like 7 different audio files that are very slightly different for the flowers, so I just made all of them loud. They're 100% guaranteed loud now! Just go download the latest files.
p.s. apologies i forgot to add the flower audio previously lol
Yes, it does :) All audio in the game is effected by audio settings, and since this is changing the sound files and not the settings themselves, it's still going to be changeable by your settings.
It's an audio replacer, so it'll replace audio. If somehow you find other mods that replace these exact noises by chance, yes, they will conflict with one another. Just try moving this mod above the other one in mod manager, and if it doesn't work, try it again but with the mod below the conflicting one. :)

It's not easy to stay passionate, sometimes you need a break

I was wondering if you could make a version thats a bit less loud?
