    [UPDATE 1.2 IS NOW LIVE]

    Made a few passes over the 1.1 Boltgun Replacer, tweaked a stinger or five. The Boltgun sounds much closer to the pre-update version now.

    I really loved the old version of the mod i know its not your fault Arrowhead decided to rework how the jar5 audio sounds (the new default jar5 sounds terrible) but would it be possible to restore either this mods sound how it sounded before or make a new mod that restores the original jar5 audio that could then work with this mod?

    Also dont really know if this is a place for like requests but they messed up like the explosions from the RR,EAT and also the rockets from like the sentry or commando id love if someone made a mod to restore the old explosion sounds. Ive been looking for a restoration mod for those sounds for so long and noone has done it :<

    Is there a way to get this working for the Heavy maschine gun ?  since there is a Modle replacement to look like a bolter, this would be PERFECT for it.

    I personally prefer version 1.0, tbh. It sounds punchier, like a hammer blow. 1.1 seems to have very odd echoes to it.

      tbh i totally agree with ya. i wish Arrowhead woulda just left the Jar-5 alone, but alas.. they fiddled. that being said, i think i can mute some of the audio stingers for the updated archive, restoring the old shot sounds - only problem with that would be each of those muted stingers would still technically be "played" in-game, making other portions of the gun audio quieter.

      tis a conundrum.

    Looking forward to seeing this one updated as well as more sounds come for the other weapons that Apofes just dropped!  Great content as always.

      Correct. With the most recent update & warbond drop, Arrowhead changed some of the weapons' archive data - the Jar-5 being one if em.

      I will have a fix/patch for this mod uploaded by Friday (Novemeber 8th). Sorry about the frustration!

      My absolute pleasure!

      I've issued a new patch to fix the compatibility issues. Please note that, due to the Jar-5 having new audio stingers added to its archive, I've also changed the updated stingers to fit the Boltgun archetype. This means that the 1.1 patch of this mod will sound moderately different than the 1.0 version.

      Still though, I think it turned out pretty crunchy. :)

    Mod isn't working for me, not sure why. I've tried doing the standard install, and using the mod loader. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

      When you first extracted the Archive file into your Helldivers Data folder, did your computer prompt you to replace another file?

      that's rather strange. although, it is possible that another .patch file is overwriting this one. have you tried setting it at the end of the .patch order? parhaps there's a gap in said .patch order as well?
