Users wondering if it's possible to use both this and the Clone Trooper or Din Djarin armor mods together, PLEASE read the PSA in the description of all mods we've uploaded so far, we took the time to write it for a reason! You can absolutely do so by numbering each patch so they don't overwrite one another when placed in the data folder. We can not do this by default in the upload itself since we don't know what everyone's load order is going to be!
Stop "gatekeeping", why don't you ***** just upload everything all at once, mods and modding tools?!
Helldivers 2 runs on a weird discontinued engine called Stingray, and (to my knowledge) we are the first to ever do modding of this variety for it. That means we had to create our own tools. We wrote our own documentation. Our entire development workflow had to be built from scratch. This may come as a surprise to some, but that's hard! Unfortunately some of our work, both mods and the tools, are not yet in a state that we feel would hold up to public use where their issues wouldn't enjoy the luxury of being solely for us to suffer through, or to be cut around for a YouTube video. I for one am not interested in releasing anything in a state that drives its users to quickly delete it. I am astoundingly embarrassed for those that have deemed this a controversial take.
We deeply appreciate anyone out there who have demonstrated patience with us. We hope to have everything out soon, but development takes time, can be very unpredictable, and some things may simply have to be cut from release entirely. I can only insist that everyone reading believe me when I say we've lost count of the reasons to stagger the release of everything.
guys your doing very good job, all Helldivers thanks you for that ! the only things i can do is thanks everyone who works on this project...thanks a lot.
I researched this topic a bit after first mod of this kind and I can confirm that the mod process is tricky.
The tool required to build patches is provided by Stingray themselves, but asset preparation process is a nightmare. And there is almost zero information about the details of it. So unless you have a ton of free time to spare on a testing and trying - be patient and wait for the info from those guys.
It worked flawlessly, and as for hitboxes I didn't have much issues, though for specific bots it was difficult It was generally no different as long as you are experienced with the game. Looked aesthetically cool, I plan on getting a whole squad together
I think this mod is awesome but I think a terminator mod would be badass. Have the troopers be T-800's. Have the tanks be HK hunter Killers. Have the automaton gun ships be hunter killer drones. Mod the laser weapons like the Plama 1 scorcher be the M95-A1 Plasma Rifle... if you could mod the sky to look dark blue and some how change the lasers to purple but that doesn't matter. Opening (Future War) | Terminator 2: Judgment Day [Remastered] (youtube.com)
Is there any chance you could separate the mods contents into sections? I think it would be cool to have stuff like the B1s and commandos, but stuff like the droidekas and walkers with their weird hitboxes make me hesitant, and I wouldn't mind just keeping the regular bots for some of those type of enemies.
This mod is causing crashes on higher bot difficulties (8 and above, possibly 7), likely due to the addition of many new bot enemies added in the months that followed. If you're experiencing crashing on medium to high difficulties, remove this mod.

There is also a Mod Organizer 2 plugin available now which automates the process: HELLDIVERS 2 MO2 Support Plugin
