Confirming Tripledart's report, this mod needs to be updated if possible. Seems to crash specifically when Orbital 380 Barrages or Orbital Precision Strikes are used AND there's an artillery objective on the map. Not sure why, but it may have something to do with those two stratagems sharing shell models with the those of the artillery.
But the crashes are definitely consistent with when 380's or Precision's are used.
Thirding this crash issue while adding my own experience and testing. I consistently get CTDs with the Orbital Precision Strike, the Explosive SEAF strike, and the High-Explosive SEAF strike. Not every time, but about a 50/50 chance each use. I do not even have to be facing the blast for the crash to occur, so I do not believe it to be a hardware issue. I have also verified the game files and lowered graphical settings yet the issue persists.
Example: I called in a Mini-Nuke shell on a large group of enemies (about 20 or so) including a Charger and Bile Titan. No issues, visual errors, or frame drop. A few moments later I call in an Explosive SEAF shell on a second Bile Titan, the only enemy in the area. As soon as the shell impacted, but before the explosion, the game instantly CTD'd.
Sadly, there are few images, I would like to understand from the pictures which shells from the new ones have been replaced with the old ones. Does this only apply to napalm and static, or have smoke and nukes also been replaced with the old ones?
I think its because the original shells are modeled after Armour-piercing fin-stabilized discarding sabot (APFSDS) shells. Basically a shell containing a big solid dart meant to penetrate armor and not explode. So having the old APFSDS shells delivering Napalm/Static Field would be weird to those who knows what they are. Personally I like the old models cause its more distinct.
