v3.0 is now released. Still requires UICore. No longer uses Ctrl+Shift+T to open the UI, instead there is a button in the bottom left of the field guide (which now also shows date and time) that you can click to open the UI :)
Blueprint mods like this one still work. But any mods that contain a Skeletal Mesh (i.e. face mods, clothing mods, wand mods, broom mods, etc) will crash the game. Delete all of those, then this one should work.
Hi, I've managed to make 'Animated Game Time HUD' work with UE4SS_v3.0.1-142 by editing 'UE4SS-settings.ini' to override the engine version (please, read my reply to the Dragon785's post below).
The only issue is that every time, after I fast travel for the first time after loading the game, the clock on the minimap disappears and stays invisible no matter what I try to do in the Hud settings. When I close and launch the game again, the minimap clock is visible again, but disappears again after I fast travel once... I know it's a very minor issue, but I really prefer a small unobtrusive clock that's always visible rather than a big one which better to be hidden most of the time.
I think the problem with the black map and then the game crashes is the UI Core mod in general. I have it too and I read from other people that it stopped happening after they removed the UI Core.
How did you get it to work? I can also see the time pressing Shift-T, but can't find the button for the config UI. I have added both UI core and this mod to the Apparate Modloader, but I still don't have a new button in the field guide. I just started modding a few days ago so there might be something obvious I am missing.
This mod is working great for me, though I was wondering if there was a way for it to be displayed at all times? Though I am not having issues reshowing it with the use of Shift+T. Thank you so much, not knowing the time of day is very frustrating especially as I intend to use integrated curfew and schedule type things and that would be very challenging to figure out without access to the time. Thank you so much! Your mod is quite beautiful and is exactly what I wanted!
Read the mod description - there should be a new button in the Field Guide that brings up a config menu. If not, make sure you're using the latest version of the mod, and that UICore is installed too.
Aside from the black screen map crash I also got a crash trying to talk to someone, it quick saved right before so I removed UICore and the Animated Game Time Hud mod and sadly that resolved the crashing.
Unfortunately the mod doesn't work.I've repeated the same steps many times now, but it's not installed in the game. I looked at UICore first. For this I chose UE4SS. Following UE4SS's instructions I installed it there:C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy
After that I looked at UICore again. In the setting "1" mod.txt was already set to "1". Then I put the 3 files from UICore, first in Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\LogicMods - no mod in the game, then I simply put all the mod files in the ~mods folder, but also no mod in the game. So for Animated Game Time HUD I installed UE4SS and UICore.
So I followed the instructions and first created Animated Game Time HUD together with UICore in Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\LogicMods and there was nothing in the game. Then I simply put the two mods in the ~mods folder, but the game is still vanilla.
I don't know what to do next and can't do anything with the very short description. It's a shame :(
Each time you've tried to install it I think you got something wrong. This is not surprising because there are five different types of mod for Hogwarts Legacy, each of which is installed differently. It can be very confusing. Your text is in yellow below.
1) Following UE4SS's instructions I installed it there: C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy. After that I looked at UICore again. In the setting "1" mod.txt was already set to "1".
Putting mod files in the Hogwarts Legacy folder will not work.
2) Then I put the 3 files from UICore, first in Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\LogicMods - no mod in the game.
UICore doesn't do anything on its own so you wouldn't see any obvious sign that it was installed.
3) So I followed the instructions and first created Animated Game Time HUD together with UICore in Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Content\Paks\LogicMods and there was nothing in the game.
This is the correct procedure. But did you set BPModLoaderMod to 1 in Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\Mods\mods.txt like it says in the instructions?
4) Then I simply put the two mods in the ~mods folder, but the game is still vanilla.
This is also the correct procedure, but did you Press F8 (when in game) to open the Blueprint Apparate modloader menu and enter DekUICore and DekDateTimeHUD?
1) What I mean by the text is that I followed UE4SS instructions and dragged the "Phoenix folder" into this: C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Hogwarts Legacy.
3) Yes, in the text document, Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\Mods\mods.txt was already 1 in BPModLoaderMod, I didn't have to change it, it was already there.
Yes, I followed UE4SS's instructions exactly to drag the "Phoenix" mod folder into the Hogwarts Legacy folder. I hadn't installed Blueprint Apparate Modloader because for UICore and AGT HUD it says OR, so UE4SS OR BAM.
I've now deleted UE4SS and installed BAM. Now AGT HUD works a little bit, I have the time displays but after I press F8 and enter the commands for the two mods, nothing happens. "Datetime HUD settings" doesn't appear.
So BAM accepted the two mod names? If so, to access the DateTimeHUD settings hit ESC to open the Field Guide then click on the circular button in the lower left corner of the screen.
OK, now it works. I didn't do anything different than before. Somehow UE4SS doesn't work for me, now with BAM it worked immediately. Before I installed BAM, I of course undid everything from UE4SS and then just put everything in the mods folder.
Thank you very much for your time and effort, I'm grateful. :)
In short, you need to install the latest experimental version (current latest beta is UE4SS_v3.0.1-142, it works as well as the previous beta v.3.0.1-137, unlike the latest released v.3.0.1, which causes frequent crashes), but you have to edit 'UE4SS-settings.ini' file to override the engine version. Read my post for detailed instructions.
By editing 'UE4SS-settings.ini' to override the engine version, I've managed to make 'Animated Game Time HUD' work with UE4SS_v3.0.1-142.
I really think mod creators should probably update the instructions on all their UE4SS-based Hogwarts Legacy mods, if they don't wanna see more and more complaints about UE4SS not working...

Ever since the update, we now have to download the sanctioned version format of mods on Nexus. But can't find an official framework for this mod?
The only issue is that every time, after I fast travel for the first time after loading the game, the clock on the minimap disappears and stays invisible no matter what I try to do in the Hud settings. Thank you for the help.
Maybe it's me, but time in the UI Hud and ingame doesn't seem to be changing, (The hud is just stuck at 9:00) Any ideas?I can also see the time pressing Shift-T, but can't find the button for the config UI. EDIT: Nvm, needed to enabled UICore.

It's not just for you, Hogwarts Legacy July 24 patch broke the UE4SS-RE and thus all UE4SS-based mods, but there is a working solution:
Read my top post in the discussion to another Hogwarts Legacy UE4SS-based mod:
