i was genuinley heartbroken when i stumbled upon this bug. i tried EVERYTHING to fix this and it didnt work. then i found this mod and it fixed it. THANK YOU SO DAM MUCH!!!!
First of all, thanks for this mod and the descriptive instructions. I had to take a detour I uncovered from reading other comments here in order to get past the pensive bug.
I had a save game file with a dozen or so different mods, including merged sqldb mods, just after defeating the trial guardian - before the pensive.
I moved all of the mods out of the ~mods folder like the instructions said. I then first tried just loading the save game with no mods. Activating the pensive did not work. I then tried the v3 mod by itself - again no luck. I then tried v4 mod by itself - no luck. I also tried v3 and v4 together for chance and still it did not work.
Other comments here suggested abandoning the quest, which unfortunately means restarting it. However, abandoning (through the Quest menu, and replaying) the quest with only v3 of this mod installed, I was able to activate the pensive and watch through the cutscene. After getting through the next few conversations, back in the castle, I made a new save file and readded back in all my mods. Grateful to be able to keep playing this save!
Bro thanks for this message, I had the same problem as you. I'm playing with the new mod menu created by Avalanche, I disabled all my mods, manually installed this v3 mod and had to abandon the quest and do the whole quest all over again, with no mods this time, except for this one, and it worked!!
YOU ARE A F...ing G E N I O U S !!! Bravo Bravo Bravo. Never I gave a kudo with higher joy! And shame on the game producers who haven't fixed the problem! I had it one and half year ago. Now I have installed the game from scratch, thinking that they had solved the bug, but NO! They did not! Shame on them
