If anyone has been following my video walkthrough, I should probably mention that I won't be uploading part 42 on the nexus. In hindsight I realized it probably won't be a good idea in general. You can still watch it on my YT Channel if interested though.
Also, Regarding Ultra Plus. If you would like to change its keybindings, they can be found at: Hogwarts Legacy\Phoenix\Binaries\Win64\UltraPlusExtensions\scripts\main.lua From there, go to "Edit<Find<Then Type "local shortcuts" You can swap those function keys (From Key.F3-Key.ZERO) to anything you like.
UPDATE: Thanks to some good folks on nexus, there is a workaround to getting UE4SS working in Hogwarts Legacy once again. Be sure to check/update UE4SS in the Modding Tools section of the guide. Dark Arts/Auror Flight also seems to run fine on my system after playing with it enabled for multiple hours. Funnily enough, a crash popup does seem to appear AFTER exiting the game normally lol (likely UE4SS), however I haven't experienced any actual crashes while in-game so far.
Regarding reports on the main modpage for Dark Arts/Auror Flight slowing down some ppl's game, results could vary depending on your hardware as I run a fairy high end cpu/gpu, and thus the impact isn't really felt on my end.
For Ascendio III/Ray Tracing Hotfix users, find the following values in your Engine.ini and make the following changes: (Engine.ini is located at C:\[username]\Appdata\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Engine.ini)
Default Ascendio values for Ray Tracing are performance friendly, however reflections look noticeably bad. With these tweaks, Ray Traced Reflections will no longer have a grainy/noisy look to them. The downside is a big performance hit on your PC due to increased resolution of RT reflections. These tweaks also get rid of Ray Traced Reflections and Screen Space Reflections being used at the same time in certain areas of the game (like the map room for example) since they tend to clash, and not in a good way. Recommend you have a beefy GPU if you intend to make these changes (at least a 3080/3090) or lower RT to Medium.
Ascendio has now been replaced with Ultra Plus in the guide. Ignore these .ini changes as they're already included in Ultra Plus.
Update: Instructions have been updated in the "Merging" section of the guide to account for potential Chunk ID conflicts you may have. A download link for Immersive 3in1 has also been included in order to resolve any problems that might arise from merging the 3 Immersion mods together. I've also added an alternate download link for "Hogwarts Legacy - 60FPS FMVs" located in the Quality of Life section to account for slow download speeds for users who don't have a nexus premium member account.
I've started a playthrough of the game using the guide. If you are interested, my YT channel is 👉 Here 👈 Alternatively, I will also post them in the videos section of the guide's page.
Keep an eye out for future updates to the guide as well...😘
Important: UICore is safe to use. The only caveat being the map menu black screen bug. Luckily, this only occurs if you open your map in the Field Guide. As long as you open the map directly and NEVER THROUGH THE FIELD GUIDE!!!, you'll never experience this bug.
Also, many additions have been added to the guide as of July 29 2024. Enjoy!
heyy, I followed your tutorial step by step and I keep having that same bug mentioned in another comment (black screen for a few seconds and game closing right away). I tried many times to make sure it wasn't me who made a mistake but it's really not working and I don't know what to do :( P.S.: I also tested running the game without the chunk id conflict manager fixed mod and it runs, so it really is from the manager
I've updated the instructions in the merging section. It requires you to create a dummy ~mods folder with just the mods with conflicting chunk id's inside and only run chunk id conflict manager on that folder.
hello, again, and sorry for late response. so I had followed your updated instructions back when I commented, but I decided to give it another try after reinstalling my game to solve some issues and unfortunately it still does not work for me.
it's a shame, but for some reason my game does not want to make my life easy lol
The only reason I can think of that the game hangs at startup is if you're still running chunk id conflict manager on your entire ~mods folder instead of the dummy ~mods folder.
hey hey, let me tell you that I finally was able to make it work!!
the problem was that I was placing both the mods in red and the ones with the same chunk id inside the dummy folder and running the chunk id conflict manager was breaking the mods that didn't had any issues before the fixing.
thank you so much for you patience and precious help 💛
my game immediately crash when pressing play on steam, it goes black screen for a second and then just close but it's still running. Do you know anything about that? i checked all the mods using the tools and none is conflicting with each other, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I ran chunk id conflict manager on the entire ~mods folder a little while ago and experienced a similar problem. Only when I isolated the mods with conflicting chunks into a temporary ~mods folder then ran chunkid conflict manager on that dummy ~mods folder, replaced the ones in my main ~mods folder with those and the game ran without issue again. I'll include steps on how to do that in the guide when I have the chance, but the easiest way to do this is:
1. run pakchunk checker and make a mental note (or use notepad) of the mods in red as well as the ones they conflict with (have the same number, usually above the ones in red). 2. rename your ~mods folder to anything you want. 3. in the same filepath, create a new ~mods folder. 4. copy all the conflicting mods (the ones in red as well as the ones with the same number) into that new ~mods folder. 5. run chunk id conflict manager on that new ~mods folder. 6. copy the mods in your new ~mods folder to main ~mods folder (the one you renamed). overwrite when asked. 7. delete that new mods folder and rename your main ~mods folder back. 8. run pakchunk checker to make sure everything is good.
This won't work unless you backed up your ~mods folder as stated in the instructions in the merging section of the guide. If you didnt, then you'll have to re-install every mod from scratch then follow those instructions above. My apologies.
Np. If the instructions I posted here wasn't good enough, I've updated the Merging section of the guide to (hopefully) makes things a little more concise. Again my apologies. 💚
Id be willing to turn this into a collection however, this involves merging of mods. That complicates how a collection would even work in this circumstance.
Yes you will have to install each mod one by one. Instructions are included for each mod. I generally wouldn't recommend you skip any unless you know what you are doing, as some mods require others to function correctly, or unless told otherwise.
My files tab only includes a reshade preset and BP Apparate commands. You're free to skip the reshade as it isnt a requirement, but I do recommend using the BP commands file as reference.
