      Unfortunately, it looks like the latest update might have broken this fix. I can't even get my game to load past the shader screen now. If I can find a fix, I'll update this mod page to include it.

    I thought this mod was for making the entire game into something like the Harry Potter PS1 games graphics. I'm disappointed  but glad this is out there for people that need it.

    Just enable memory offloading, I'd just like to add that this did it for me (my pool size was limited to my 2gb vram)

    add:
    r.Streaming.LimitPoolSizeToVRAM=0
    r.Streaming.PoolSize=2048 ***according to your vram***
    r.Streaming.MaxTempMemoryAllowed=8192 ***according to your memory***

      I tried this one, but either I did it wrong or my laptop just isn’t able to handle it for some reason. My game started crashing after I did it haha.

    Hello,
    the graphics really do get better, but game keeps crashing, do you have any solution to stop it from crashing?

      What settings are you currently using? Setting the Post Processing to anything besides Low always crashes my game. This could also be an issue with your shader cache. I’ve taken to doing what skeevy420 suggested in a reply to one of my comments a little bit below your post! It’s had a huge impact on my laptops performance when running the game.

      I don't have that folder it seems, o.o but it's weird, that it crashed and lags, I have everything at low :/

      It's a hidden folder by default, sorry I forgot to mention that! If you copy and paste this > C:\ProgramData\Hogwarts Legacy < into your file explorers address bar it should take you to that file location!

      Found it deleted those files inside it,and game only lasted 1 minute and a couple seconds before crashing. I really am not touching the graphics never done.

    Texures = 4 works but this setting destroys performance, not recommended IMO. I prefer ultra settings with some ps1 textures every now and then.

      At least in my case, I was never able to achieve anything besides the PS1 graphics after the prologue. If the problem was only from time to time, I wouldn't have even been bothered haha. Using Ascendio with this fix REALLY improved my performance btw!

      Have you tried deleting your shader cache in "C:\ProgramData\Hogwarts Legacy"?  Just delete everything in that folder. I have to do that every single time I want to play the game. It won't start otherwise. Been like that since it left Early Access.  When the game was still in Early Access I didn't always have to delete the cache to start the game but the graphics would corrupt into PS1 textures.

      To this day it'll corrupt into PS1 looking graphics if I change the graphics settings in the game without restarting the game (and wiping the cache).  If I don't change any settings the graphics won't corrupt and it plays just fine.

      I have a 6700 XT and play with a mix of Medium/High/Ultra at 2K without any upscaling.

      Thanks for the tip! Sounds really promising, I’ll have to give it a try next time I launch the game.

    I honestly thought this mod would make the whole game look like PS1 version. I also don't understand why gamers don't actually try to make that happen as a joke mod or something. Like make Skyrim look like Morrowinds Graphics.
