I dunno, I guess it depends on the person. Some people are achievement hunters and will plan their gameplay accordingly to get them. Other people are like me, indifferent about those achievements and don't really care about them, other than just a "nice to have". So at least with this, they can just tick it off take the pressure away, so they can focus on playing the game "they want" other than trying to do what "other people tell them to do".
This mod may ruin the game for you, sure? It's completely understandable. But that doesn't mean it'll ruin the game for other people. We all have our own tastes and preferences, just because we have one preference, doesn't mean other people "must" have the same preference. We're all different, and if you disagree with this mod, then simply don't use it and you play the game the way you want it to be played and no one else have the right to tell you otherwise.
You say this, yet you fail to realise the percentage of people getting the achievements shows how hard it is and how much effort achievement hunters have put in to a game. People who download this mod are ruining that one statistic. If everyone had this, almost all the achievement hunters would stop playing the way that they like to because it doesn't feel like you are doing something impressive if 100% of players have gotten this.
Your also saying that "no one has the right to tell you otherwise". If you really thought like that, you would not care about the people who are telling them to get all the achievements. Frankly, I do not give a s#*! about the achievements that someone else has. If you don't like to play it to get all the achievements, then fair enough, don't play for all achievements. What this mod is saying about people that download this is that they are simple minded individuals who care about what other people think about how good you are at said game.
Not getting all the achievements does not provide "pressure" as you put it. You don't need to flip a cow 10 times with Flipendo to progress the story do you? How does cheating to get all the achievements affect your gameplay at all? If you "don't really care about them" why download this mod?
i agree with both of you but thing is that hasnt been mentioned is those achievement hunters are not playing that way for an audience they themselves have the want and feel the need to do this im missing just a few achievements for hogwarts playing legit not mods at all i just started modding it and came across this and i might use it idk yet but i do believe im stuck my game tells me im missing a page yet ive went around the whole map for a solid 5 hours searching onmly for said page and still cant find it so ive sorta quit caring about it regardless this mod doesnt take away the hunters ability to feel they gained something more for gathering all achievements.
For those who are finding that this isnt working make sure in your library whatever game your getting achievments for is whats open on your library page if you get it
so i know this is a months late in reply, but from what i found out is. before you use the program, launch the game you want the achievements unlocked, close the game, and then relaunch the achievement program. it should show the achievements for that game. i seen same thing as well until I tried the method. Hope this helps
Gotta be honest. I am usually not for things like this. I don't agree with just unlocking stuff that wasn't earned. And here comes a big ole lumpy BUT, I used this to unlock the Collector's Edition achievement for Hogwarts Legacy because I had literally every single collectible except one, and I was unable to get that one due to a bug in the game. I wasn't about to miss out on my achievement after putting almost 110 hours into the game to get EVERYTHING, just for a bugged quest to lock me out of getting that one last collectible. I still felt dirty doing it, but I also spent literal hours exhausting every other method I could try to use to get around this bug before resorting to this. My sanity simply couldn't take it anymore. While the completionist in me is still going to hate looking at that one missing collectible, I at least feel better that the hours and hours I spent working toward the achievement hasn't been entirely wasted.
I've been using this for years, and about 7 months ago I met a girl who was so impressed with how many 100% achievements I managed to complete that we started to see each other. I'm getting laid all the time now, and it's all thanks to SAM! Thanks, SAM!
SAM is completely safe and is known for false positives due to the nature of it. It's actually no different than all of the users currently uploading their saves so you can get the achievements. Rather than 1 at a time you can unlock them all at the same time. If you still don't trust that pablo literally gave you a git repo that has the code itself. Which, once again, is completely safe.
what you forgot is. there are websites that track actual achievements, and SAM achievements are not considered ACHIEVED on those website... so whatever SAM does... might trick steam, to get you something... but you haven't actually unlocked those achievements... and instead, locked yourself out of it
