I'm having a weird issue with lights in the room of requirement. The lights stay on when I'm not looking straight at them, but if I turn toward to them, they just turn off in front of my eyes, unless I stand super close. So when I look around with my mouse, the whole room's lights are flickering like the electricity power is about to be cut off. It only happens in the room of requirement, lights in other places are all fine. I know it's very probably for that I put too many lights in the room. (I have Conjure Anything mod and I did set a lot of lights. After noticing the issue I tried remove some, which worked.) But is it possible to fix it? I really wish to keep those lights in my room.
Hey, it is very likely, that the developers set a max count of lights that are visible at once, after this they will be turned off (performance reasons). There might be some command where you can increase, how many lights are visible, but so far I could not figure it out myself.
I personally didn't used the "Conjure Anything" mod yet. So I can't help with that!
Good tweak, fixes several light pop-ins in Hogwarts. There are some lights that aren't affected by this setting but the overall effect is quite positive.
I am getting a really bad light pop in when entering a room or corridor. All the lights appear to turn on like in your screenshots examples. Should this mod fix that problem or does it do something else?
r.LightMaxDrawDistanceScale=2 improves the draw distance of some local lights, that are with the default setting of 1 pop-in and out to close to the player.
Unfortunately there are still some lights that pop-in and out of existence while going through a door (new Area). This might have to do with occlusion culling and looks like a bug to me. In this case, r.LightMaxDrawDistanceScale, doesn't seem to have any effect on this particular Issue, no matter how high the value is set to.
considering the default value is used by all settings from low to ultra, i have to ask out of curiosity, does this have any performance impact aka FPS drop and if yes by how much aprox?
Hey, so far, I didn't noticed any performance impact on my end. (2080 Super & i7 10700k, 32gig Mem - Ultra settings, except for fog, texture & shadow quality - is on high ;no Raytracing).
It would be great, if others users that use this setting, to chime in and share there experience with it!?
I'll just added 2 new pictures with some stats in the gallery.
i see, yeah i'd love if some users with 16GB Ram would drop in their experience (i currently can't play (health issues), but when i can i wanna use this mod cuz those lights going out when it's a bit too far away drove me nuts, but FPS isn't the greatest with 16GB ram as it is xD)
