FAQ : Why are MaleLip007 and 008 the same color ? - The game dev made a typo and 007 option do not use the correct texture.
Why is there no hair color /eyebrow color 005 ? - Color was removed from the game
How can i change hotkey ? - After mod was loaded in game -> Quit game -> Hotkey can be modified in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Input.ini -> search entry "CharacterLiveEditor" -> change key or use Universal Settings Mod Menu (currently bugged i do not recommend using it)
Does Heritage status do anything ? - It's a removed feature. It does nothing in the game.
How do i close the mod window ? - Press F5 or escape keys
What is the effect of changing house mid game ? - I have no idea if changing house mid game (especially unaffiliated house and unknown house) can break stuff use at your own risk. Daedaelian keys quest will be bugged if you change house during the quest and you already placed some house token.
Is this compatible with mods that change apperance ? - Yes if you use a mod that for example change the hair female 004. You can select the hair 004 in the mod and you'll see the modded hair.
The mod menu is not appearing at the start of a new save like it did before, why ? - I put a security in place to prevent the menu from opening up in the start menu or shader loading screen. But since the game thinks you're on the start menu when you are in the tutorial phase of the game. Just progress until you get to Hogwards for the menu to appear.
How do i change my voice pitch ? - No mods is required to do this. It's in audio settings of the game.
Only for version prior to 1.6 : If you want Eyeliner, Eyeshadow, Lipstick, Blush to work In Face Marking 3 choose any other option than the first one.

Change hotkey : - After mod was loaded in game -> Quit game -> Hotkey can be modified in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Hogwarts Legacy\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Input.ini -> search entry "CharacterLiveEditor" -> change key
where exactly is the search entry "CharacterLiveEditor" -> change key ? i looked everywhere for it when used the character editor, and i just can not for the lif eof me ever find it. i know it is othing on ym end. it is on their end. can someplease please quickly and very clarly ina very easy to udnerstand way say where it is, as i am not very tech savy,a s pelase do not be rude, what may be ovious to you, maey not be ovious to them, as that does not make them dumb, it jsut means you need to say it in a nont ech savy, cleay easy to understand way!
I encountered the same problem. When installing a mod from nexus, the editor itself does not work. When installing a mod through the game, all other add-ons that were taken from nexus (hair, faces, etc.) do not work.
Old cosmetic mods from the nexus are not compatible with the new version of the game. You now need to use cosmetic mods from the in-game mod menu if you are on the latest version of the game. This has nothing to do with CharacterEditor.
Since the new update with mod support, the mod character editor has been stuck with the changes it had, that is, I had blue eyeshadow and red lipstick and now, when I uninstall the game and reinstall it, this facial paint has been stuck and I can't remove it. Also, I had the hair from a mod and now no matter how much I change the hair to an original one from the beauty parlor, whenever I put on a shade the hair is not visible.
Did the new update break this mod? I used it to switch from male to female as I'd coincidentally made my original character somehow look IDENTICAL to Sebastian, which was weird in cutscenes. I just ended up playing as a female character anyway, which tbh in hindsight I think is better voiced. I'm concerned the update will mess this up and I'm 60 hours in.
It's because of the latest update, cos they put official mod support there, so you are lucky if you can start the game with your old mods (many people can't run the game until they delete a folder ~mods).
So is anyone else having the problem where the mods you had before the update don't work or having the mods folder in your game files wont allow the game to open?
Yeah because of the latest update with the new mod manager and the way they load mods now. Will have to wait for mods to be updated to the new system sadly :(
So I'm stuck with an interesting glitch where I'm stuck looking like Headmaster Black, even though I've already completed the Polyjuice Potion quest and I'm already done with San Bakar's test. I tried using the character editor mod, but now I'm stuck as a floating head.
Do you have any idea on how I could start to fix this? I tried looking up online and found one suggestion to load an earlier save, but it still doesn't work.
To change your appearance in Hogwarts Legacy, make your way to Madam Snelling's Tress Emporium, which is found in the northwestern corner of Hogsmeade.
Sadly I can not change lipstick, eyeshadow, etc. It only works for me for the things I can already change in the hair saloon. How can I enable the lipstick and eyeshadow changes? Thank you in advnace!

Good mod, everything works fine EXCEPT for the lipstick. Doesn't show up at all for me. Am I missing a "enable lipstick" option somewhere?
Nevermind, I'm just an idiot & didn't see the Face Markings options. For the record, this is the ONLY mod I have installed, besides the prereq.
