FREAKING SWEEET. This is an allround Hack for pretty much every Game. U DA MAN. Thanks for that by the way! I might be inclined to use that everywhere now, image the possibilities! I'm Stoked.
Now to actually setting it up. ^^'
EDIT: Played a little around with the setup and it turns out if you set up the Mouse Joystick its quite a lot easier and works with only one profile. Now to actually do it. What you want to do is: Default your controller mapping unless you have your own quirks. Switch to the axis confiq tab and scrolll down there you'll find SixAxis (Accel) if not already set use those settings as default and tweak to your hearts content.
Dead Zone: X,Y 0.22 Max Zone X,Y 1.00 Anti-Dead Zone: X,Y 0.22 Sensitivity: X,Y 0.30 Output Curve: Enhanced Precision
Now switch to Gyro.
Trigger: L2 Turn Behavior checked Dead Zone: 22 Max Zone: 840 (?) both Outputs default Minimum: X 65 Y 45 Vertical Scale: 100 Max output uncecked Eval Cond. default Smothing Weight Average: 0.80
I'm trying to set something up for the scanner too. Hope this helped someone and Happy Gaming.
I have explained dozens of times why mouse joystick is garbage. If it works for you, I am happy, but the inverse acceleration makes it pointless for me.
As far as I know, these controllers do not have "sixaxis" gyros, so you couldn't achieve this no matter what.
If they do have gyros, you'd definitely have to use something other than DS4 Windows, since it's just for DirectInput devices, and xbox controllers only support xinput.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I actually managed to get the "Mouse Joystick" setup working on my first try, and the guide gave me so much help in customising the settings to the point where it truly feels right. I really do wish that there's a way to play with the regular PS4 prompts, though.
Found your guide and tried it out. Nice hack! I noticed there is a "Mouse Joystick" output mode for the gyro too and when selected, it seems to do exactly what you need without the whole KB+M switching. Just set the trigger to L2 and you're done, nothing else necessary. I see that it displays in your video too, so I am wondering whether you have (or had) any issues with it. Works pretty well for me.
Personally I prefer setting the trigger to L2+R2 so that I can fine-tune my aim just before shooting. That way I can switch to the aiming camera and use bullet time for maneuvering without worrying about keeping my controller steady.
I had my first playthrough using it and it was a blast. Had to leave sensitivity of the X axis higher than the Y which made aiming a whole lot easier. It was impossible to switch back to normal playthrough or with keyboard and mouse after using gyro. I fricking loved it. Thank you for making this mod and an easy installation tutorial!

Will I still need to use DS4 windows? As it appears to be only for a PS series controller.
